It really is sad how often the writers desire for a coherent or well written story gets in the way of potentially hot porn. Of course, the story isn't coherent OR well written, but why do shit like not allow the PC to impregnate both foxes? It's not like having that option would force anybody to do so if they didn't want. Seems like a situation where more options=objectively better. I mean come on, "one of the sisters needs to be responsible"??? This isn't real life man, you can simply choose to write your story in a way that doesn't necessitate that

It's an odd choice, to be sure. I'm struggling to think of reasons why it's limited other than "because otherwise it would be a power fantasy." They are side characters you can completely ignore, in an area you never have to see, have to jump through a decent number of hoops to get to, and (unless I'm misremembering) said hoops involve you impregnating a different kitsune multiple times. And if they didn't want to write different dialogue, it would take a few lines added at the end of a few conversations that are just "oh hey, you knocked her up, nice job." And if they didn't want to handle multiple children... well, they can just throw them into the nebulous realm of "the extended family/people around them will take care of them" and not worry about them because babies are remarkably one-dimensional and make for terrible characters.

It's just another in a long line of decisions that don't make a great deal of sense.

Because I loved the first CoC however the mess it was, the characters were better, the story was better (and finished), the content wasn't 90% macro dicked/titted sluts/bulls with a bimbo personality. Trying for a better CoC2 than the first one does not make it better, it makes it different in a worst angle with their constant rewriting and uninteresting new characters. I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that CoC2 is going downhill and that makes me sad.
To answer you question about what we are doing here - we are mourning here on a potential that was fucked up by money and fans like you.

0.5.8 Patch Notes:

  • You can now knock up either Miko or Mai -- you can't do both on a single playthrough, since one of the sisters needs to be responsible! This comes with a ton of new scenes for Mai and revisions to all her old scenes to accommodate her pregnancy. (by Tobs)
  • Brint and Brienne got a gym expansion: you can work out with them, or "work out" with them. If they haven't cleared the gym's field yet, remember that they will after it's been 3 days since you first visited it and you wake up in Hawkethorne. (by Wsan)

Tobs like writing eastern drama, and tying content to the lore and story.

Knocking up one of the shrine sisters forces Komari to designate the other as her heir, for the responsibility the position carries.

So there's an in-universe reason Tobs doesn't let you knock up both.

So say I was talking to a buddy of mine who met my wife/sister at the grocery store and he mentions this. I ask oh? what were you talking about? And then he starts going about how he wants to fuck them and impregnate them. Of course I tell him to fuck off.
Dude this is basic human behavior you don't say those things about someone's girlfriend/wife. If you tried that IRL you could get knocked the hell out, just 100 year ago that would be cause for a duel. Quin just comes out like an asshole. There's no confusion about why he's the least popular companion along with Tui. There's a very good reason why you can just leave him to die in a ditch.
The funniest thing is how Bubs just doesn't seem to understand why that is the case. 2345233453.png

I don't think anybody other than the writers and a handful of people on their discord/patreon gives a flying fuck about Cait (or Brint really) one way or the other. And lets be honest, if you are the type of guy who's into characters like Cait that have scenes like the one where she's swallowing so much minotaur semen that she turns obese while the player watches then I don't think you'd get the appeal of characters like Drifa for example anyways.

And on the other side, for people who aren't into this type of free love/sharing/polycuckoldry that has infested almost everyone and everything in CoC2 at this point, Kiyoko and Brienne are two of the last few remaining characters that haven't (for the most part atleast) been included/tainted with that type of content (yet). So people who like them are hyper aware when it comes to that shit, and it's not a surprise that they react so negatively to a character like Quin who's basically just another one of Bubs characters like Takahiro that exists solely to shit on the champ; and if you've seen one of Bubs self inserts then you've seen them all.
