I liked them trying something new with her. And the move away from the action figure look in MK9 was good imo. Everyone looked weird af in MK9 except Mileena, Baraka, and the sub-bosses. Plus she hates Kotal, I hate Kotal, win win. Mileena got robbed by being made a D'vorah victim. Plus there's the visual storytelling with her new default that was feral and barbaric yet sexy.

I dunno, just never was a fan of the haircuts they'd give her and they really dolled up her mouth on X to off her to D'vorah of all people. And as much as MK9 looked rough (those faces above all else), it was the most Mortal Kombat title of the post-reboot bunch.

I did like Kotal a bit because it felt like they were actively taking stuff fom War Gods, which would've been at least funny in a very "Killer Instinct got Sabrewulf from an obscure UK computer game" type of ride. Alas, Boon's a coward for anything remotely fun, so that was jossed out.

Both X and 11 feel like wasted opportunities, to be frank. I like what they did with 12 (title insistence notwithstanding), shame it didn't mature as it could've.

Remove the teeth and she's just Kitana with a toddler's brain. Sure, she could then mature into a leader's role, but she never did that on the original timeline. Closest she ever got to it was moonlighting as Kitana until getting down on her hands and knees for Shao Kahn.

Kind of handwave it all for the "New Era" shindig because Liu Kang fucked with the storyline even more than the idiot who thought classic Sindel was a goddamn trophy wife.

Well it's a good thing I didn't say I wanted the teeth gone and just that I liked the lips with teeth in place of cheeks but just prefered her usual long thin teeth like in every other appearance of hers over MKX's thicker teeth that are angled forward.

Funny thing is that he doesn't care if this happens to the champion in various bad ends where we are forcible changed against our will. But that happening towards any npc is no good. This game has no bite to it at all, It's fucking TOOTHLESS. No consequences, no rewards, it's all just a drifting state of limbo. Filled with irrelevant npcs who satisfy the samey kinks.

I wouldn't even call it a proper wank because the tactic is cowardly. This muscular, powerful champion tip-toes behind you and knocks you out is lame as fuck. Then he calls you weak for it. I would get second-hand embarrassment even trying to write someone like that. BL was too focused on sucking his own cock to see how unlikable that would make his character, people need to have it beaten into them that the player character is the center to where the story is told and the people who play will be seeing and experiencing things through that center. So hoeing them for no reason would piss most of them off. It's not like we are going out of our way to fight the mercs they are trying to rob us and we are defending ourselves. Instead of the leader telling her mercs off she instead tries to fight us because we give her people a bad name by beating them.

As the champion, we should have had plenty of ways to handle this with the most glaring one being telling other kingdoms and Carmen that the mercs are harassing you and most likely other travelers like common bandits, which would really fuck up their chances of being hired and might even put a bounty on them. But that requires the game to be logical.


It was like watching a writer fan girl about themselves. Even the insult reeked of early high-school fan-fiction. I'd be extremely embarassed if I was BL tbh.

Same with Viviane too. Not only is it less empowering, but it's also far less interesting and kills alot of investment in said characters. The vibe of your camp changes so much with pure characters and how they interact with others, while your normal and non-corrupt followers want to avoid or have the corrupted outright killed. You actions could lead to the outright corruption of the main goddess of Mareth, Marae. That was wicked and had immediate consequences if you visited her again after that. This game has way more words and art but feels hollow in comparison. Everything is resulted and handled in the most off-hand, boring way possible.

I think the funniest part is just how Leo never expects it to happen, like you being so much stronger than him is a complete surprise, and near the end of his corruption route, he agonizes over the fact that if he didn't just try to flex on you, none of this would have happened.

I wouldn't have a problem if he added as much content as he took away or actually worked on the companions. As things are going nothing is going to even feel remotely finished except the "story". We aren't even going to explore the world and see the different factions and regions, truly earning a championship from each king and queen. We do shit in Hawkethorne, then do shit in mino-city and we're done. Balls dropped left and right, people I guess the payers are more invested in the generic npcs then the actual story and promises made along the
