I can't be bothered to look up the exact details again, but I did went to refresh my memory a bit to straighten out the timeline. So way back in CoC's development, Savin and Fen had a spat and Savin when off to go make his own game using Renpy. It wasn't called Slablands back then... I forgot what it was called. Regardless, naturally in true Savin fashion, he got bored and dropped it. Then he made up with Fen and went on to work on TiTs.

That's pretty on brand. Guess that means his CoC3 visual novel idea is doomed to fail if he couldn't do it before.

As someone that actually enjoys the futaslop, a bit more variety wouldnt hurt at all. The characters do tend to feel pretty samey and I only hit up specific characters to get my fix. And as someone that used to throw money at this game too, I just grew dissatisfied with the amount of content you get per patch, I used to be so impatient that I threw money at them, nowadays the updates are so barren and lackluster that I have no issue to wait for the public version or somewhat recently, just grab it from here. Most of the patch notes are just filled with bugfixes to make it seem bigger than it actually is and it's sad.

On the topic of the lack of Corruption in CoC 2 and doing a disservice to the original.
Remember when they reworked / (pretty much) removed Lust in Combat?
Sex scenes used to require a minimum level of Lust to trigger, then they just made your Lust start at 30% to be able to trigger things from the get-go, then just removed Lust as it's separate thing altogether and rolled it into HP.
I know combat is kind of an afterthought overall but it's another one of those things that separate the Sequel from the Original.

Doesn't this game unlike the first employ people to function as writers(whilst also graciously accepting free contributions)? That was just Fen in ye olden days with contributions from a certain deviant board so it was understandable that stuff got dead ended or unfinished, but in the last update log the impression I get is that stuff was cut cause "nobody was doing it". Do they pay them to write what they need or do they just get paid for whatever they write to then be added? Then there's the topic of commissions as well as a Patreon, it seems like a confusing mess. I need to get into this porno game business, these people are making a killing

In my free time, I've been trying to rewrite Hime Kinu into something likeable and not just TObs'es weird masturbatory Japanese Yamato Nadeshiko blow up doll.

It's a character I'm calling Fake Princess Kinu, making her ,weeeelll , completely different. More childish, human, cute, warm, huggy, an egregious championcon, totally incesty, and not engaged to an self-insert racist douche.

But God, having to actually read TObs'es writing, and pay attention to what it actually says instead of just glancing over it.

It makes me wanna punch the guy in the face, holy crap, it's so awful.

Like, it reads so weird, I can barely explain it. So full of itself, you know. Filled to the brim with awkward conversations, strange messaging, constant reminders of how special his OC's are and how great japan, sorry the Kitsune, are. All the while reading like a college kid who took a semester of eastern culture studies trying to pad his thesis to get a high enough word count.

Also you can just feel the disgust for the player just dripping of it. It's the worst.

Like was it so hard just to write a daughter character, or a somewhat Japanese inspired people. Was any of this weirdness necessary. Or were his daddy issues and Japonophiliac tendencies just completely impossible for him to repress.

I don't fucking know, man. Fuck, he's just so weird, I just don't get it. Hell, I don't want to get it.

And he wrote waaaay too much, there's stuff in Kinu's text blurbs, no one will ever even see. Just pages and pages of pointless garbage. It almost makes me respect his work ethic, If it didn't read of obsession.

I'm not going to talk about how coc1 gave me the fethish for corruption, but man it had such an impact on my taste and view of corruption in general. To the point I hated easy shit like mind-control or time stop because It didn't feel earned.

While I'm not too big on corruption, I definitely learned from CoC1 that a slow change is much more rewarding. And it annoys me that some games, like The Company for example, used to offer just that, but then that gets deleted so the only progression is through a mind-control serum in this case.

I find they're usually between 6 and 16, I don't think I've actually encountered the 10,000 year old vampire loli meme in its natural habitat.
Even in the loli versions of CoC, with all its transformation stuff, they're actually usually much younger than they look, not older. Born yesterday, yet already looking 10!

From my understanding, you can submit writing to their forum and they may look at it. It's basically free labor. If Savin likes your writing he may commission you to write a scene, another futa, maybe invite you to their creator's discord, or inform you of his content bounties. You're right in that it does have an official writing team though it's really just Savin's friends he hopefully divides the patreon money with, and a coding team of unknown size. Basically the writing team does whatever they want as long as it's in accordance with the main design doc and Savin's wishes. Unless you're Tobs, who gets minimal oversight it seems. Or Wsan who has been exiled to the horsecock mountain mines.

It makes Savin's "no one wanted to do it' complaint hollow when he has a team he's allegedly in charge of.

Then there's the topic of commissions as well as a Patreon,

Perhaps I'm getting too conspiracy theorist with this, but do we know for sure Tobs is actually Chinese and not lying about his nationality as part of an elaborate roleplay/psy-op? I'm not saying it's impossible, but someone from China simping that hard for a period in Japan's history that committed brutal atrocities against one's ancestors is really weird. Maybe Tobs has been a secret plant by the Happy Science cult in order to corner the market of porn.

Checked here to see what the response was to the new mod and wasn't surprised about the like for it. It made me want to start a new game to see what differences the official & modded stuff did after playing my old save for so long. Yeah, starting a new game and doing the Kiyoko quest content with more experienced eyes and knowing about TOBS now has it hit differently. There's a special scene with kid Kinu where she's upset with her mom and after talking to you she confides that she likes that you're an outsider because you don't have all the cultural and species hang ups that Kitsunes have, which was a nice scene to read. But her out of the orb makes that touching moment gone in the wind, she's fully accepting of the Kitsune way of life.
