I meant more regarding the point of players having agency and affecting things. The bad end exists as a fail state for the PC being completely consumed by their desires, it's quick and easy to implement compared to the more lengthy alternative. There was a point in development where Kaly was even intended to be a hostile NPC (still quite like the idea but stuck on how to implement it properly now), but we preferred this idea instead in the end as it was a little different to direct confrontation, this way the PC is willingly submitting and sinking into the bad end.

Edit: I should say that Kaly is clearly working toward -some- goal with the PC, as implied by her starting her own harem in the bad end (with the intent of taking their power too), it just isn't yet revealed. I will mention one important detail to explain a lot of her behaviour (and a hint for future story stuff):

She never mentions -who- forged her ring, and it's a fair assumption she's not exactly wealthy enough to afford those kind of services, so...

Ahh so she was always meant to be an adversary? I thought she may have been like the blue giant guardian where you start as enemies because the peaceful route hasn't been implemented yet.

Like she bad ends you because she thinks that's the best way to complete her task and you'd get a way to show your abilities to possibly avoid that.

I would have liked to address more, as it's a well thought out post I admit, but it's late here and I need to sleep, I just wanted to reply to it since I missed it for a while, I don't check in here super often. I'll probably go back and edit it to be a little better tomorrow. The long story short of it is simply that a lot of those holes are there because she isn't a finished character. The issue is she's being compared to actual companions who have a ton of stuff put into their backstories which are generally quite fleshed out. Kaly right now has very, very little development which was going to be a big part of her next update, Wsan did a lovely job with her sex scenes in my opinion but I would have like a little more character building and SFW content, I've considered writing some little scenes myself (going on little 'dates' to learn more about her while picking flowers, petting cute animals, etc...). I think people will quite like what I have planned for her but we just have to wait for now sadly, with no ETA.

The problem is if i want to kill kalysea or octavia (i prefer to kill kalysea and octavia from the beginning), from the beginning i have seen them, i can not. Because they do what the wsan (with his AI help ) wants to do, and we can not kill them.
Im not a writer, but in the computer i have enough knowledge to knows the difference between ai and a person, he (wsan) aided from ai, and some changes with his mind on the stories to creates new one.
And i have an argue with AI word, i do not know this name the artificial intelligence as a intellect one its a joke from the media and hollywood films, in my opinion we have no such things "the AI", we have the Smart Assisstant.

About RPG, this game is not rpg, at best condition its an adventure game, with a few character customize, this game dictate their own writer's will to the main character, its not an rpg, we untag this game from rpg in the f95.
If you want an rpg adult: Strive for Power 2 - Conquest.
And anyway you can use my Mod for CoC2 too, and im not a dictator like a Savin or a sick mind person like Wsan, i created an optional filter, you can filter Wsan scenes or not on my mod, plus you can make your champion strong and in the beginning you can choose 3 other races too.

The developer team instead of fixing their own bugs, they creates a new story, the new story is good option, but i think no one has a argue if you do not give a one month story update, and fixing the bugs instead of that !! for example Lapist Hoplite bust and name menu bugs exists even in a few month !! (i give them the fixes with so many "back" buttons bug at the menu's, and they do not fix that), another bug, if you brings Hatsu in wayfort at her sex menu you have an option to ride her face, this option must be disabled for those genders who has a dick with out vagina, it must only works for MC female or hermaphrodite, who has vagina, but this option is open and show you some dirty error's if you don't have vagina !!

Java is a good language you can write your codes one time (only one time), for any platform ! for example i want to created a mobile app, and i want to make that app for windows too (i prefer Linux), the code in java is global, i do not need any changes in my code, i only need a JDK and some little changes in my code, to run that app in windows !! Funny comment but there's obviously actual deep resentment of the character here, can you explain why? She is written outside of Wsan's work on CoC2 and can be immediately disabled before engaging with her so she has no impact on your game. If you have an option to completely remove content you dislike from the game how can you still be so angry about it? Do you see why it seems very strange?

More generilzed distate worded in a heavily sarcastic manner because i've long since stopped discussing this game in a serious manner. Suffice to say, at worst i believe the character is a waste of time, but that it's no one's fault but the devs who've likely figured out their Patreon income is plateud no matter how (little) effort they put in- so might as well make bank with commissions and everything else gets on the backlog. Even beyond your character, we've recentely seen that with the gladiator futa who likely had more words spent on her - considering the arena is all one big prelude to that encounter - than the meeting with the royals (which took them 2/3 to push out, i believe?). And besides, that even beyond commissions those samey characters just keep oncoming doesn't help either.

But this whole thing is a fetish factory for other people, thinly veiled as a game. And even when liking what's on offer. It still feels/comes off as made for someone else. Like we as the writers like this so we put it in. Oh you like it too? Perfect! Then it works out in the end. We were going to do it regardless of you, so it works out that you're fine/into it too.

But if they could still get paid to make this game regardless. I believe they would remove us as players and keep it going on for themselves, as if we never existed. That's how a lot of this game came off for me. And again, I speak for myself on this.

But isn't that the best way to make games? You should create what you want to see and hopefully you'll find an audience who share your interests. Otherwise you get games that try to appeal to everyone and does nothing well. That's why AAA games are in the state they are in now. I'll agree that the mc should have more agency.

I'm Fifty Fifty on this, while I agree a Dev should make games they enjoy (my goats like Hideki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and Chris Avellone live by this principal) it should never be to the alienation of everyone or strip the player of agency. If they have an object/gimmick they should stick to it and explore it but with making accessible (learning curbs are a must) and maintain player choice were applicable.
But like ChubbyFatBoy said they don't do that, you are a long for their ride where your agency is taken at random and ppl with money to fling will get to put in whatever gimmick character regardless of where it fits into the big picture of the game because money.

AAA games are dying because: 1) Investors keep sticking their noise into the deving process to demand gimmicks from other games be shoved into their own regardless of whether it matches the vibe or just straight up copy-pasting popular games (see the 1000+ soulslikes, uhg). 2) Investors really only care about the bottom line so if they can split the game into piece for sale (making Dlc while simultaneously making the game/Microtransactions) which fucks up gaming culture. 3) Both Devs and Investors are push woke nonsense on ppl and most folks are tired of it, while I do think they do it for different reasons; Devs imo being the useful idiots that believe in the movement and Investor/Companies wanting Blackrock credit and funding.

Originally yes, but things changed during the planning with Wsan, mainly because he thought having her as just another hostile NPC would be a bit boring and I was inclined to agree. She'd have effectively worked like Sandre and Caera I'd imagine.
