Cosy is on the side of better AVNs. I'd put it in the same tier as N2theFire's games. Well written, older visuals but edited enough to be good and believable characters/kinks.

There's ones that are just pure trash, but they're made to be trash.
There's ones that are just feeding into the latest trend to make money (AI NTR Phone clones)
Then there's the high production ones, the massive games like BaDiK, Eternum, Broken Dreamers, those kinds of games.

The problem with playing VN's as long as I have, I find very little I'm still interested in, I can only play the Good and Great quality anymore.

Spoiler'd to keep topic only on Cosy.
damn i couldn't have said that better (y)

Is there already someone claiming Hannah as favorite? If not, I'm going to.

heh

you're right, you didn't know how to explain it at all.
this guy confusing good writing with preference.
As a token of good will, here is what I meant:

AVNs are good at showing stuff. Through visuals. What they cannot convey through visuals is how it feels. The sense of touch. So good writing in a sex scene of an AVN is for me writing that makes the experience more complete, by using words to let me know what the MC is currently feeling while sleeping with that cute girl. If the writing is used to describe what the MC feels, smells, tastes, hears, thinks, the experience is closer to real sex than if nothing is conveyed but what the MC sees - the visuals.

I can see that her tits look awesome, the text doesn't need to tell me that. But how does her hair smell as he kisses her neck? Does it still smell like spring blossoms from the shampoo she used in the shower before sleeping with him? Is her breathing already shallow and fast from the action? Is she contracting as she climaxes? Is her pussy so tight that its threatening him to cum outright? Compared to the milf where he felt gently pleasured and comforted by being inside her?

Stuff like that.

In many games the writing during the H-scene consists of the MC and the girl still talking with each other as they have sex. But sex is mostly about experiencing, not talking. That's where the writing can make a big difference.

Its preference, yes, just like a car that doesn't break down is preference. Most would call that a good car, though, and similarly I think most would call short, non-descript sex scenes, that end after 5 lines of always same-ish dialog, bad sex scene writing. The sex scene is the reward in an AVN after all. I want it to be treated like that by the creator.

What the creator focuses on while using words as a substitute for touch, smell, taste, hearing, is then what I see as preference.

Alright, I don't think I can explain it any better than that, lol.

Kind greetings

yes, that was a much better explanation.
The internets was a bad idea. If solely for the reason that people are safe from getting their teeth kicked in. Makes them forget basic politeness.

Would like to ask you to stop being so disrespectful.
thanks for your concern. I act the same way in real life and have yet to get my teeth kicked in. It's not disrespect just because you didn't like the truth being pointed out. If you're interested in continuing this line of conversation, then DM me.

Could you back-up what you are saying here with more details? The very definition of "good" is a preference. "Good" is a qualitative word, which means that there is no way to objectively determine "goodness". It is through experience, knowledge, and research that someone determines what "Good" means to them.
Well, I didn't have a good answer, but I like this one:

some more thought on your idea. If "good" is a preference, then he may as well not have said anything, because if you assume it was just preference, he already said he didn't like it, so "good" writing wouldn't have added anything to the story. I believe it's not a good idea to confuse personal ability to judge quality with preference. Just because they're both subjective doesn't make them mean the same thing.

That level of detail I have only seen on some of the novels I have read. Like one of them has the mc describing the pussy of all the women in his harem in detail. Like one pussy has internal temperature differentiation and another remained as tight as the night he deflowered her. It was interesting to read through it

So we are coming at the same thing from opposite sides. If "good" is being able to convey the thoughts and feelings of the writer (or the characters on the page/screen), then when the original person we were referring to said CC was good, then that is what they were saying. As for them saying it, well, the whole point of a forum is for those to share thoughts and opinions and preferences.

The more I replay this, the more I'm sure that Rachel is the kind that wants to be bound, gagged and used as a personal dumpster.
i think i would like to tie her and hannah up and have some fun with them both at the same time .... can you imagine " fuck her hard like you did me " .. then "yes fuck her harder " ahhh dream could come true :)

Nah hannh does not go well with rachel. Hannah needs to be tied up with Catherine. A redhead and a blonde. Imagine getting to have your way with both the noble princesses at the same time. A dream come true

Am curious. Willing to share info on title/place to find?

I am on the Alison side. I am older, and a sucker for a wise redhead.
Here she makes for a nice contrast to all the young girls, so I find myself more interested in her than I'd usually be. Even though her demand for a slow and real relationship is interesting as well, I enjoyed the transactional nature they had at the beginning. Was hot.

If you're interested in continuing this line of conversation
I am not.

Good wishes
