Hey guys, just checking in again!

There isn't much to report this time - development has been going pretty smoothly, with another 350ish renders completed over the last couple of weeks, bringing the total to around 1200 so far. I also finished the new location I mentioned working on last time. It took longer than expected in the end, but it was well worth it!

Something else I've completed over the last few weeks is potentially a bit spoilery, but it's something I want to address early and unequivocally: I've finished a couple of important new side characters that you'll get to meet in the update. These characters are relatives of a member of the main cast, and they're underage girls. The part I want to make clear is that they will NEVER be sexualised! So for anyone that meets them in the story and is concerned, fear not, that's not where these characters are going. And for anyone that meets them and thinks about requesting that I sexualise them in the future: please don't - that's not the kind of story I want to make.

So with that out of the way, here's a second preview image to lighten the mood a little!

I was gonna ask if you can guess who it is, but I think it's probably a little too obvious for that.

Other than that, the UI designer has started work rewriting some of his code that I previously mentioned has been causing save issues in recent updates, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed at the moment that he can figure it out. Hopefully he'll get it sorted, and I won't have to devote any more time to it before the update can be released. That'll be a real weight off my shoulders!

Anyway, that about does it for this one. There will probably be a couple more dev logs before the update is finally ready, so I'll speak to you again soon. Until then, thank you all as always for your support!

Relatives of the main cast is a broad net. But within the founding families, Catherine and Brian are the eldest daughter and son, respectively, so it stands to reason that younger siblings must exist for them. But this ignores cousins.

My guess would be the new side characters are likely related to Catherine or Rachel. Maybe, but less likely, Misaki/Akari/Akatsuki.

But there are also non-founding family members in the main cast. Given the state of the story, I'd be guessing Rachel is a good candidate.

I agree, I know she probably will never get much character growth or any scenes, but something about her design speaks to me.

My deeper thoughts on Chloe remain in the orbit around her not being as she appears. But what's more important is her standing in the founding family dynamic. We don't know her exact position, just that she's peripheral enough to not really matter, but also enough to warrant a mention as being one (and for Victoria to know it). Catherine's words during Brian's mother's proposal/offer/bribe puts her as a Russell or a Gilbert, but Alison's lack of using her, and Hannah's lack of trust in her, would put her squarely into the Russell camp.

My guess, at least based on where we are at the end of 0.11, is that she's going to be critical in the Elizabeth story. Maybe Cosy Creator will turn her into a love interest if it serves the story, but it would require someone else being installed on the 'dark side' of the age-appropriate characters, otherwise school (and university) will be lacking in any sort of localised drama. (I guess a slightly older relative who delayed starting university could factor in later, but the aesthetic difference between Annabelle and Chloe makes me feel like they were designed to fill similar roles on opposite sites.)

I don't really mind if she never gets scenes, I'd just like to know what her deal is. But, as I said before, I think she's probably being held back for something (most likely Annabelle originally, and, now, given what's happening, Elizabeth).

This is how I came to my conclusion as well, Catherine and Brian are both 18, and the eldest of their families, so any siblings we meet would have to be younger. Taking cousins into account I guess its harder to pull a name out of the hat. Realistically anyone could have a random cousin swoop in to apply some character growth for the story.

Catherine may have younger siblings, but she'd almost certainly have younger half-siblings.

While that does leave cousins, I am pretty confident in my guess that the minor characters will be in some way related to Catherine, although knowing how often my guesses have been wrong for this VN I wouldn't put money on it.

We dont know yet, they could be teenage or younger, it doesn't really matter, they are still underage. Honestly, I can't remember if it's explicitly said, but we've only met and heard about Mary. Mary acts like she's the only one, but that doesn't really surprise me. If there are others, I wouldn't put it past them to be hidden away by Mary's doing. Given the state of the family, if they were from other families, they'd likely have withdrawn to live with those families (like Mary has).

I'm basing this off the memories of the Hamilton event, council meeting, and Catherine's first office scene.

If anyone knows if/when/where it's called out that she's the only one, it'd be good to know, as it could shape future events.

I'm not sure how Catherine's immediate siblings would have escaped notice. Her mother is Hamilton's sister, so if Catherine isn't being kept in private tutoring through Hamilton, I can't see the others being treated differently (the son, maybe, but he's older and she's in her final year of school, so he has a reason for not being mentioned as having changed behaviour/patterning). Sarah, and others, would likely have made some kind of comment by now. (Remembering Catherine is called out, by Sarah, as being sent there to experience the real world.)

It's possible that they're <15 (not at the same school), but I can't see that escaping the notice, or mention, of everyone.

I think half-siblings or cousins would fit with everyone Cosy Creator has teased so far (in terms of familial relationships Catherine has and the factional divide). I wouldn't be surprised if there's a peripheral Gilbert/Bennett family that appears and links Hannah and Catherine, stirring that drama. That could have avoided detection, because it'd be a sore spot nobody raises.

Either way, I'm interested in finding out.

So acting as if sex with a 15 year old girl is superwrong is clown world. She is ready for sex. The problem are nefarious intentions, not the sex. But that is the same if she's 18.

Pertaining to Cosy Cafe, it may be reasonable to avoid showing sex with teenagers, but thats solely because of patreon. Even law allows for fictional porn with teenagers in most countries of the world - as does F95zone.

Believing that there is something wrong with being attracted to a 15 year old girl means that one's most natural instincts got heavily manipulated. Virgins of that age where the most prized females in near all cultures and ages.

Thats what the clown world wording means.

(Just to be clear: no offense shitass1001, I like you and you are a good guy, but in this area the world has lost clear sight.)

I do not think that Cosy would mind me sharing this to shut this down quickly. No tomfoolery with age, nothing like that, they are meant to be absolutely underage, and it will state as such (their age) in the game. So to your latter point, you agree, too young.

I do not recall if this was stated anywhere in the game, but I do know that Mary was introduced at Reggie's wife (not first, not only, just wife). The closest I remember is Sarah saying that all the FF heads have multiple wives.

Brian/Elizabeth may have other half-siblings, but Elizabeth unequivocally stated that herself and Brian (she called him shit-stain) are Gloria's only children at the FF meeting. Brian's father has multiple wives, so may have other 1/2 children (in relation to Elizabeth, Brian and Gloria).
