Hi, I have chosen the most popular KINETIC NOVEL on this site to ask a question to the community.
I mean no disrespect to the author(s).
I'm on the bipolar spectrum, and I sometimes ask questions... a lot.
So why call this type of work "kinetic"? For me, it's an obvious MISNOMER. The word "kinetic" is greek in origin meaning (hopefully I'm not wrong) dynamic, moving (parts) etc. For a visual novel without choices, which is my understanding of the accepted meaning of the term "kinetic novel", if it's me reading sense into the description, i would imagine a "kinetic" novel to be one that required input and responded appropriately. But it's not, is it? It's more like a static (the opposite of kinetic) or passive work. Mmmm?
Don't (always) accept what others tell you. Think for yourself. Labels are accepted meanings conjured by imperfect humans. Dream a little!
Good luck with you game, devs
