And even if we assume that (1) Sarah's going to be more sensitive to that than the others, and (2) it's going to happen at some point, that doesn't mean she's going to be reduced to a sobbing mess immediately. If she's troubled by it, MC's been pretty good at picking up how she's feeling thus far.

Yeah, MAYBE Lucy is secretly starting to resent MC and she is just too much of a people pleaser to say anything, but that just doesn't seem like the kind of story Cosy is going for. I don't think so. For MC to "deny her for someone else," there would have to have been a request that MC declined in favor of someone else, and that's something we would have seen. If you want to change that to "choose to be with someone else instead of her," well and good, but that's a different question, and that happens every time he's with less-than-all of the LIs--which is most of the scenes. As you say, when he's with just Vicky, he isn't with Lucy (or Kitty, or Sarah, or anyone else). Nobody's shown any issues with this. Sarah knows she's one of many (four so far, and more to come), and says she's OK with it. In fact, she's been angling to be in on it for at least the past week. Will she find, as Spock said is often the case, that having is not as enjoyable as wanting? Could be, and in a different story probably would be--but I don't think that's the story Cosy is telling.
In your example with Lucy, you have to remember that it was Lucy who suggested this arrangement in the first place. Could she come to regret it? Sure, and in a different story that wouldn't surprise me at all--but, as above, I don't think that's the story we're in.

If I'm following this right, even in a different story, I'm not sure how many harem devs would go with the line "Ehh, well, we tried this harem thing and didn't like it. Let's break up. Game over, byeeeeee!"
Nah, that's not what I'm saying, I was just continuing my argument that Sarah's involvement in the harem is potentially the most problematic, even if the problems never come to fruition. My last argument was just a hypothetical, but it's not impossible.
Long story short, Sarah's body dysmorphia is a potential concern that might never play out, but of the LIs she's the one who might be the most sensitive.
Sure, that'd be kind of a killer for the game. But "Sarah finds that sharing is harder than she'd expected, it fuels her insecurities, so MC has to work extra-hard to reassure her," or something of the sort, could work. Not really expecting it here (at least to any serious degree) though, as "drama within the harem" doesn't seem to be your thing (and I'm just fine with that). But a different game, telling a different story, could push that and still work.
If you leave the context of harem games (or of AVNs generally), though, "Lucy comes to feel that this idea of hers wasn't so great" or "Sarah really can't deal with being one of many" become pretty-plausible plot points.

Time to stir the pot again.
Considering the MC is stuck with the Founding Family business, the biggest wife potentials are Catherine, Elizabeth and Hanna. Alison would always suffer from the "family reject" aspect and is way too full of herself, Sarah is never gonna be comfortable with FF stuff and from the others only Vicky has the social skills and aptitude to be an asset and not a liability, but has a lot to learn and hasn't showed much interest in it.
Like, I love Lucy, but she has served entirely the porn side of the plot. Again, I love Lucy and I'm sure Cosy won't let her hanging, but for now she is one of the most cliche, underdeveloped and (honestly) side-lined characters in the major cast. Again, I expect we shall see more, but currently, she is a porn character in a porn game, while most others (even my least favorite - Misaki) are characters in a story that happens to involve sex. Again, again, I like her, but she needs a bit more love. And she is such a friggin enabler to the MC, that long term that's gonna be a negative.
Kitten? She is a pet in character, disposition and function. Cute pet. But a pet.
Rachel? Incompetent twat, what use would she be besides a punching bag.
Akari? Another enabler, but also crazy enough to do stupid shit.
Misaki? Wet nurse, wet noodle, who cares, she is irrelevant.

Catherine - short-sighted, hot-tempered, but at least has brains and the ability to use them, when she can keep calm.
Hannah - needs to grow a fucking spine (preferably in doggy-style).
Elizabeth - lot's of big talk, currently her mouth is writing checks that her ass hasn't cashed.
So, if you ignore the internal harem dynamics and relationships, the girls for all their cuteness are not that great at being wives to a high noble (because regardless what Cosy says or might have said about them, this is what the families are). And the above summary? Well, I bet this is how Gloria sees the gang and why she hasn't really moved much against them for now - a kid way over his head surrounding himself with weak social rejects and only two actual prizes, both of whom come with many, many strings attached. And well, the biker (in the sense that she chose him more to piss her parents off, then any logical reason) that her rebellious daughter is hanging around.
Like, they make a really nice harem (except Rachel, I still don't see how she would fit) - cute, lovable, flawed, but not too flawed, kinky, sweet, etc. As a harem in a bog-standard harem-game, they are perfect. As a harem in the current game.... boy,they need to get some levels in badass quickly.

You're wrong about Lucy. While she hasn't shown much interest in FF politics, she would be perfect as a personal assistant. Remember Harriet? She was in the meeting acting as Mr Gilbert's personal assistant and all she did was study the MCs face, probably looking for clues of deception. Like, she could do the job, but so can most girls. Even Rachel if I have to be honest. Ideally, if the MC spent 10% of his brainpower at it, he would realize he has a perfect roster to cycle trough in that position depending who he is meeting. In any case, Lucy need more love and more growth!
I'd say the MC is living two lives. In one of them he is a man with a cafe, and in the other he is the head of a founding family. The second life invades the first relentlessly, while also enabling it to a significant extent.
However, for as much as the MC is able to keep these two lives seperate, Lucy will be almost exclusively within that first life. I think people are right to say she isn't made for the politics of founding family business, and I think the MC will recognise that and protect her from it. The same goes for Vicky unless she choses to venture into the founding family stuff, although she does seem to want to do so.

Well, unlike Lucy, she may be much more suited for that role with her quick wit and a certain amount of brushness in personality. Also much more than Catherine or Hannah, who are members of the Families but luck some traits for the power play, that Vicky has.

Remember - Catherine grew up playing these games, she is good. While Vicky vs Catherine is a solid debate, I would think that Catherine knows the rules better, and Vicky can see outside the box better. Plus Vicky DGaF about history or etiquette ... she wants to win.
I agree that Catherine has more experience growing in one of the Families, but her personality is much more rigid and stuck up. Not that I don't like her. I do and impatiently waiting for her to join the harem, but she is still more a princess than a politician.
Also as of this moment in time, she's still her family's daughter, even if she's disappointed in them.

To throw a monkey wrench into the speculation. I am curious if the Dev has plans to expand the mattress games, IE more physicality between the young women. Adding that in could definitely change the dynamics, not just of the harem, but of how they handle FF business. Even without anything physical between them, you can sort of see Lucy & Vicky already (sorta) being a faction unto themselves, sorta "founding harem" harem partners. Look at how it is one f the two of them who shows how things are done, Vicky automatically becoming the head waitress without a second thought, etc., etc. I know human nature is usually suspended or ignored in these games, at the same time the Dev comes across as a pretty competent writer, so I wouldn't be surprised to see factions develop in the harem. Which would be fun and interesting, to say the least. And the simplest way to do it would be to have "side" attractions grow between two, or three, of the girls.
i don't think that will happen, as this is a pure "harem" type game. According to the dev, the only content that could even be considered lesbian involves threesomes and group sex. Also, if I'm not mistaken Victoria has clearly stated that she's not into girls, same with Akatsuki. As for Lucy, it would feel out of character.
I do agree with your point about factions, though just not the physical aspect of it. It could lead to some fun banter between the girls, like Lucy and Victoria forming a group. I think in the future, Catherine and Hannah will become good friends. Another potential pairing could be Alison and Elizabeth.
