I can understand disagreeing with the rating others give to any AVN.

There are plenty of AVNs that I would rate significantly higher or lower than the fans of those AVNs do, based on my own likes/dislikes.

The difference, IMO, is that I am Not offended by how others rate AVNs they enjoy.

I could care less that this AVN has the same high rating as ABC AVN or XYZ AVN.

I can guarantee that there are major differences in the number and 'type' of people rating Cosy Cafe compared to ABC or XYZ AVN so trying to relate two average star ratings serves little to no purpose.

It comes across like a group of American 'football' enthusiasts complaining about European 'football' enthusiasts, saying they don't truly appreciate the game while ignoring that the fact that they are two different games, and effectively - two different stories.

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to Cosy's next update and some previews of the next rev!

Yeah same for a lot of us. This game has die hard fans like myself because from the start it was very clear what we were getting. What also contributed to the high reviews is the developer doesn't suddenly do crazy things like mistreat Lucy or something else bad to the girls. As long as this developer does what he is doing he gets my money and he deserves it and if in hopefully many years this game is finished and he makes part 2 he still gets my money. It's so rare to play a game with a big smile on your face knowing it will be alright with the people in the game because this developer really cares about his characters and his fans.

Yeah no, the best thing is the writing, I hated Sarah when I started playing, now I like her, that says more than anything, if the dev can get you to like someone you hate, you know the writing is good, but people have different tastes, look at whats her name, Lesbain Headlamp, didn't she say she loves all the Star Wars movies, and doesn't have a favourite.

For some people the most important thing is CHO-O-O-O-OICE, even if it is just an illusion of choice and in reality there is no choice at all. That's what the modern culture and ideology make people believe.
Essentially a kinetic novel is a book with pictures. Yes, it's a linear story. I understand that for those who never read books it's probably a boring concept

Hated Sarah?? Her constant "Idiot" and how what she meant when she said it changed over time is one of the prime reasons I love the game.

So? They can just read play something else. And they can also be mature enough not to care that some people like things that they do not. What they shouldn't do is rage about the rating of something they like is higher than they would like. But, I'm the fool expecting maturity. Yes, I know. Silly me.
