This game doesn't run for me, on Windows.

Try this:

• In the game's directory there's a config.ini file. Open it with an editor and make sure the line which starts with "LOGLEVEL" looks like this:
  
  LOGLEVEL = info
  
  
• Start the game
• If it crashes, check the logfile. It can be found in this place:
  
  %LOCALAPPDATA%\Digital Seductions\Countess in Crimson\messages.log

See if you can spot any obvious reason why this game would fail to start for you. Hope that helps!

Do you have a config.ini file in that directory at all? It seems like it's missing, and therefore the game fails to read it and crashes. Try extracting the attached config.ini into the directory mentioned above (not in the game directory!) and see if that works.

There's been a sudden silence about their other game (Serpentine Shadows and the Joys of Vengeance). Although they said it was supposed to come out in October, Steam only lists it for 2025. It's as if the project has been delayed (or even cancelled) ;(
But to be honest, for some reason I didn't like any of the characters shown there, even in Countess in Crimson there were (poorly written or useless characters), but even they look better compared to the characters from Serpentine Shadows.

An update with new Halloween costumes and DLC was released today (I'm referring to additional scenes, not new DLC, don't be confused). I can add the Steam-licensed version of the game, version 2.1.0, but I don't know how to run it (hack it) if the game requires a license. If anyone knows how to bypass Steam's protection, I'll add the game today.
The files will be on pixeldrain and I will split them into archives (because the whole game weighs about 12 GB).

Gallery Unlocker for version 2.0.7

Here it is, a bc.x file to fully unlock all achievements and all videos/pictures in the gallery.

Instruction: Download the attached ZIP archive, and extract the bc.x file into the "scenes" sub-directory of your main game folder -- enjoy!

This is not (!) a save file! Because of the multiple paths, I will not upload multiple save games for every single path. But with the galleries unlocked, you can basically watch every scene from the game in the gallery anyways.

It's player choice. When the scenes are about to start, you have the option of it actually happening (but the MC -thinks- its a dream) or the MC is actually dreaming and he wakes up to avoid seeing it.
