If you play as lesbian, your roommate will ALWAYS be lesbian too and have a girlfriend. Would be cool to be able to change that in the settings at the game start.
That happening because the RMP & RM having their storyline..
That mean both will interact sexually with your MC soon or later, then need to be a gender you like..

I think someone anyway already did a Mod for that, if you wanna change their sex as you like..

Why can't the the gender that PC doesn't like try to interact with them? You can stop their advances pretty easily.Ie I d like the roommate to have a bf and for my PC to totally ignore them both from the start, but to do so I need to make pc bi and do several (usually a lot) of restarts.
Thanks, I'll check the mod, but it is kinda sucks to install mods on mobile.

Because it's more annoying to the player if you say you're not interested in x and for them to flirt with you anyway. They are writing content that they want players to play and that's not likely to happen and more likely to just annoy the player to have for example a lesbian being hit on by a guy. That would kill an entire possible storyline before it starts.(that goes with other possible orientations and genders).

There are options to choose some characters genders already, there are options for "bad situations" and etc, so this setting we are talking about would be totally optional too. By default things should stay the same. But again, imo it is too sterile and unrealistic scenario that PC is hard coded to be surrounded only by possible love interests without much customization. I mean, we can choose BFF gender, why can't we choose other important character's gender?

I just don't get why anyone would want the dev to default to putting in content that you'd dislike. I really like that the game respects that I'm a lesbian and not trying to throw guys at me. That's rare.

I can see you getting enjoyment by having characters you're not interested in flirting with you if you find it more realistic. I've always viewed the option to change character gender to be about expanding the pool of characters that fit what you're attracted to instead of preemptively blocking said content.

You can play the game in different scenarios. You can play the game where all existing major characters are for your liking, that's fine. But there are different game styles, some players may want the PC to overcome some obstacles, and not be thrown into pre-desined setting full exclusively with love interests (like for lesbian PC in many cases ALL teachers are female. Imo it is just way too unnatural... It's okay if you want it, but if you don't, you can't really change that, - why there is even a gender slider then?).
Moreover, some may want to play the game where there is actually only one single fitting major "love interest" for your PC. I don't see why it would be bad to have an option(!) to do so, or to choose some different world and character scenarios for different roleplaying purposes.

I get what you're saying, I share that philosophy but not completely. A realistic world would include an even share of straight women/men, a few LGBT characters, which should behave accordingly to their orientations, hitting/rejecting the MC accordingly on how you created him/her.

But remember where you are. Most straight players will want the classic one man-1000 women scenario where all other men are dead except them (I won't include the NTR, cuckold or swinger games here) or, if the MC is female, to have girls and men hit on her as if she's the dumb slut of the town with no diligence at all. No LGBT people at all, MAYBE the lesbians that magically like the MC's dick, or the rare femboy/sissy. Lesbian players want a world where people with dicks has vanished (let's put trans/futa out of this for now, it gets complicated with them) and gay players? a world filled with men, where women maybe exist but keep their pussies to themselves (ah, and they will chase the straight men on those games too. No men is safe there), and no futas/trans people there. Most people expect unrealistic scenarios here, you're the first one on F95 that I've read with such a vision for the game world.

This game tries to reach a wide audience, straight, bisexual, gay and lesbian. The easiest way to please that public WITHOUT angering the others, is adjusting everyone in the world, leading to those unrealistic scenarios. Most players WANT those unrealistic scenarios, they are here for the fantasy, not reality.

Ive had teachers of multiple genders without putting my character as bi so I'm pretty sure that's not affected by your orientation the only characters genders that changes are the ones in the select special characters gender section in the world generation options. You can see what gender a teacher is before choosing them just pick the major with the gender you want.

The talk was related to the RMP & RM (roommate & partner)..
The RM will be always the same sex as your, RMP will be always tied to your preferences..
That obviously not using mods to set also them as you wanna..

I think part of the complaint is the game is partway designed to be the opposite of that as it gives you sliders that explicitly don't let you 0 or 100% the demographics and overrules what was picked for the characters which presumably the player chose because that was what they wanted. Forced orientation is a kink people have. Another thing to keep in mind is the life-sim aspects of the gameplay. If the game was just about porn I'd need to look up what the fetish for managing daily chores and hygiene is and if breaking out a day planner is considered part of the foreplay.

Yay, the needs bar percentages are fixed now, they're showing again. Nothing else changed though, from the looks of it, so I guess the weirdly compressed character social icons are intentional. The dotted underlines might need editing if that's the case, 'cause it looks a little odd. And the patreon support button is still 1 pixel off from the rest of the menu on the bottom left corner, which once you see it, you can't unsee it lol.
