This game had such potential, but it keeps becoming more of an autistic life simulator and less of an adult game. Then there's the hard coded virtue signaling identity politics on top of that, preventing a host of fetishes from even being possible to include, never mind the dubcon or noncon issue. :(

I've never had any major problems with the game in terms of errors and some grievances of not being able to truly disable the trans and non binary stuff as that is just not my thing.

Out of curiosity I decided to scan the html download from Itch and I thought the behaviour of the files was a tad bit odd so I'm gonna link the VT link and people with better knowledge and understanding can take a look and tell me my paranoid self is just being dumb or something.

Probably not the first or even twentieth time someone brought this totally original idea up...
I mean, you can make the characters different skin colours, but apart from having a monolid and a lot of weird fusion names (like Japanese firstname but random Anglophone surname) its kind of implied that there are Asian people in the game.

I'm not suggesting race play, but it would at least be nice to acknowledge people based on ethnicity, etc.

What the game desperately needs: Improved sex logic and more fluid character interaction mechanics.

What the dev gives us: 80 more variants of socks and a new job location.

Every. Goddamn. Patch.
Most of the clothing is made by contributors, not the dev.

I agree that improved sex logic is one of the most pressing issues. But the socks don't detract from overall dev time.

Education should be significantly more expensive. Players should be able to take out high-interest bank loans, leaving the method of repayment entirely up to the player’s choices.

Achieving a 4.0 GPA needs to be more time-consuming and difficult; it should require high intelligence stats, meaning low-INT characters shouldn't be able to reach it. However, players should be able to influence professors using their Charisma stat. To incentivize performance, a GPA of 3.5 or higher should be rewarded with scholarships. Additionally, tournament success should grant both money and reputation.

There needs to be a strict 'Risk vs. Reward' balance for promiscuity. Currently, it lacks consequences. It should lead to reputation loss, academic bias from professors (resulting in lower grades), STDs, unplanned pregnancy, and physical threats or assaults. Managing these risks should incur heavy costs. If sex work were purely beneficial without these downsides, it would break the game's balance; there must be a reason why it isn't the choice for everyone.

P.S:
Furthermore, some people fail to realize that in its current state, this isn't actually a 'game.' It is currently impossible to play the game 'wrong' or to lose. There is no problem that needs optimization, no real challenge, and no hidden parameters to discover that would allow a player to improve their strategy. As it stands, the experience is essentially a PowerPoint slideshow. The visuals are also weak; the atmosphere could be significantly improved by adding low-resolution, pixelated animated GIFs that match the game’s aesthetic to the scenes.

Do the gangbang and non-con mods still work?
Hiya! Author of the Gangbangs mod here.
The mod still works, however it is only compatible with game version v0.6.5g as of now.
I'm currently working on completing the Non-Con Overhaul update to the mod which will make it compatible with latest vanilla game version.

Hop over to the Gangbangs mod discord thread on the Unofficial modding discord to get the latest WIP updates:

Can we please keep the game in it's lane. DoL torturing the player with every choice being equally wrong was an experience and if I wanted more of that I would still be playing DoL.

Very much like the idea of a 'Risk vs. Reward' dynamic for promiscuity!
I've added nearly a dozen events to my Gangbangs mod that can trigger if the PC participates in several gangbangs to simulate a "reputation" for the PC around campus.
Would very much like to add hooks into the mod for things like STDs/pregnancy/threats if others make those kinds of mods before I finish my development on the mod for even more consequences!

Examples of consequences (or benefits ;) ) for your PC partaking in several or more GB's with my Gangbangs mod:

Sub-events that unlock after NPCs gather blackmail evidence on the PC during gangbangs
  • NPCs can post shaming threads on Elkbook (1 or more GBs completed)
  • NPCs can confront and harass PC: 1 to 10
  • NPCs publicly slut-shame PC: 1 to 10
  • PC can overhear NPCs spreading rumors outside of their dorm room: 1 to 10
  • PC can receive blackmail-themed harassing texts / social media posts: 10 to 20
  • NPC can confront and demand a 1:1 hookup in exchange for silence: 10 to 20
  • NPC can demand 1:1 hookup in exchange for not leaking PC's GB footage: 10 to 20
  • Arch Enemy / Hatefuck NPC can confront PC in a group and demand a GB: 10 to 20
  • NPCs can blackmail PC into posting nudes on Elkbook: 20+
  • BFF can confront PC about reputation: 20+
  • PC can be blackmailed for a GB during QuickieBurger shift: 20+
  • PC's partner can call to confront PC: 20+

Hiya! Author of the Gangbangs mod here.
I've joined. Thanks for letting me know about the mods status, I look forward to the update!

Education should be significantly more expensive.
A lot of the stuff going on in this game is weird and foreign to me (like GPA and Greek Houses) but having to give my parents money to pay off loan sharks to go to university is the weirdest so I cheat refund myself the money anyway. I agree about reputation though.

I think next steps, reputationally, is to not treat reputation as an exclusively bad thing. You know how, if you start with a slut background, those two guys ask you for a threesome? This sort of thing, as well as people flirting with you, thinking you're easy and likely to put out, should be tied to having a slut reputation. Not just slut shaming.

Also paying your parents is kind of insane, and really stunts gameplay progression. I understand the rationale is to maintain a sense of challenge, but imo the challenge should be tied with ambitions the player may have (e.g. to buy more expensive stuff), not something artificial like that. It would be much better if you had the opportunity to rent a house, for example. Many college students work a job, simply because their parents can't support them. It would even work if you took out a loan or had to pay tuition fees and had some ability to ration your payments.

Risk vs Reward sounds great on paper but how would it work in reality?
I tried a low-risk playthrough as a nerd who only has eyes for one man but to be honest it's kinda dull - no working out how to sleep with that football player who doesn't like you, no seducing the entire faculty, no career doing anything interesting, just week after week of school, work, dates with nothing changing. Who would play the game for that?

You have enough games here that follow your politics, if you don't like people being included just play something else
