Actually, the grenade isn't activated until the spoon is released. The pin is there to stop the spoon from being released while the grenade is in your pocket or in storage or wherever else one might put a grenade not currently in use. If you pull the pin out, you can replace it as long as the spoon isn't jostled.

That said, the spoon is much more sensitive to jostling, so it's generally extremely unwise to pull pins from grenades you don't intend to immediately use. All it takes is a slip of the thumb and you might turn into pink mist. There's a reason they don't have new recruits in boot throw grenades any more.

After finishing the first chapter, the background music on the homepage is so beautiful. Does anyone know which song it is?

Cradle Dev Log #4

Hey everyone,

First of all — sorry for going quiet for so long. Two months without updates is a lot, and we know many of you have been wondering how things are going. Thank you for the patience and for checking in on us — it really means a lot. ❤

After releasing the previous chapter, we took a short break to catch our breath and process everything that followed. We just needed a bit of time to reset emotionally — but that’s behind now, and we’re back to work with a clearer head and fresh energy.

At this point, we’ve outlined exactly what we want to show in the next chapter — the key story beats, the emotional tone, and how the player’s previous choices will influence events. The general dialogue structure is already drafted, and few of the new locations are ready. Right now, we’re deep into rendering — the visuals that the next scenes will be built around.

While the previous chapter focused on world-building and setting up the Cradle universe (maybe even a bit too much at times), the upcoming one will shift the focus toward relationships — more personal moments and a natural move toward romance and intimacy. It’ll be smaller in scale but richer in feeling — less heavy story, more heart.

For our supporters, we’ll also be sharing a few sneak peeks soon — just to give you a taste of what’s coming next.

We truly appreciate everyone who’s been with us through this journey — those who comment, share thoughts, or simply keep following our progress quietly. Your messages, kind or critical, are what keep this project alive.

Thank you all again for staying patient and for believing in what we’re building. ❤
See you soon in the next update.

Cradle Dev Log #5

Hey everyone,
Time for a quick update on how things are going.

Cradle is advancing bit by bit — not as quickly as we’d ideally like, but consistently. As we worked through the structure of the next chapter, we realized the content flows much better if we split it into two parts. This way, we can polish everything that’s already in good shape, release it separately, and continue refining the second half without rushing. It should make the final experience stronger — and get new content into your hands sooner.

We’ve also realized that while we’re confident in the coding and visual side of the project, the community aspect — especially promotion and reaching new audiences — is something we’re still lacking. It’s an important part of growing a game, and we hope to figure out how to handle it better over time.

On the personal side, I’ve had some extra IRL things to take care of, which naturally take a bit of time. That said, progress hasn’t stopped — it’s simply shifted into a more balanced pace.

Despite everything, the core momentum is alive and well. Work continues every week, the story is evolving, and the next releases are taking shape piece by piece.

As always, thank you for sticking with us, for your patience, and for the messages you leave — they genuinely help more than you might imagine.

See you soon in the next update. ❤

I absolutely hate sandbox usually. But where do you see sandbox in this? The only thing I could think of is looking for the girl with the map options, but that doesn't make it a sandbox. Did I miss something?
The part just b4 dat when you get locked up after she tricks u and u have 2 escape is annoying cuz if u don't pay attention 2 d Dialogue u won't know that u have 2 click on the keys on the guard 2 move on in the game cuz there was no button or arrow indicating what 2 click. I damn near thought there was a bug or something freezing the game until I replayed amd almost dropped the game fully cuz of dat shit.

Ok everyone, please calm down. Think about things, remind yourselves why we're here, and what we want. We generally want to play games/novels. Yes some people enjoy the forums too. I'm more for the games/novels but I do like looking at these "Discussion Threads" as well. There can be some useful info. Please, if you feel strongly about something, and/or someone, always remember, we all have lives. Some people have to make choices to do or endure certain things. Some people create things for other people to have to endure. Please, if you think about things and comment, try to understand the possibility of reasons why some things are as they are. Yes there are people who just argue to get a rise out of others, which is really too bad, but, those of us who get offended, we can take things at face value and ignore it. There is the "Ignore" button as well if need be. Please make use of it if it's needed. Thankfully I haven't had to use it. I don't plan to use it either. I can always just close this website and walk away until I "cool off," so to speak. Please be the bigger person and walk away when someone is offending you, there's no need to bicker throughout our public chat/discussion forums.
Thanks guys and gals and please take care and have a peaceful day.
Cheers,
P.F.

There was very little story b4 dat tho lmao.
vr is one of those things you don't bamboozle people with, is one of the most divisive tags in every piece of fiction; you either love it or hate it, the dev did a really fucking horrible job of advertising this game as a vr story

I mean you're not wrong either. Idk it's kinda in the neutral area 4 me. It was definitely done in a bad way tho. A bit too sudden. Idk how I would completely change it tho.
