Since the results affect relationships, why would we ever want RANDOM RESULTS?!?! Please discontinue this hotfix feature in the next update. You will end up having players either just keep repeating over and over until they eventually get (at least, what appears to be) a good result OR it will increase the demand for someone to make a game mod that - among other things - automatically gives you perfect results. Either way, this is not a particularly useful way to solve the players' concerns over the bartender mini-game.... though it does reinforce the usefulness of the one-sheet recipe image I made, so thanks for that I guess. /shrug

Clearly most of the commenters want this part out of the game so when they ask for the option to skip it, they mean that skipping will ONLY yield positive results. Either you misunderstood this part or you just don't want to do it.

I can appreciate you wanting people to play the game with intention and it is the same reason you have disabled the feature to skip unread text (unlike 98% of other games). That is your prerogative. Just know that the complaints are going to keep rolling in about this aspect until you truly give players an option to skip that does not have negative results.
If only a positive result is given when mixing is skipped, then what is the point of this mini-game?
The different results of this mini-game are not designed to annoy the player, but to make the game replayable and versatile. If there was no point to this mini-game, I would not have added it.

You should be able to leave ingredients open on the side while bartending, it was kind of tedious

Renders look great though!
Hi. Thank you. You're right—this switching can be annoying. But I haven't found a way to fix the recipes technically yet. I'll try to solve this in the near future.

The minigame is tedious, that's why some of us want it removed. Are you trying to make an avn or a VA-11 HALL-A sequel?
Now you say cocktails affect npcs when in the comments players are already asking for a simplified point system :WaitWhat:

Dev, have you ever considered the differences between sandbox games and typical visual novels? Why doesn't anyone complain about the click-based interactions in *Being a Dik*, an excellent sandbox game? The main reason is that its click events enhance immersion, rather than being meaningless clicks. They increase player engagement with the story and the exploration experience of the character. I'm sorry, I didn't experience this outstanding advantage in your game. I still feel your game would be even better if it were outside the sandbox genre!

Considering your comment and these responses, I am going to focus on a specific word in your comment: replayable. If one scenario is making the drink correctly (and as the customer ordered), what is the incentive to replay the game to see various outcomes where you do not make the drink correctly? Will other paths open because you forgot to put the ice in a drink? Is some other LI going to show up & want to fuck you because you used the wrong juice?

What is the point of alternative scenarios if it ultimately works against the narrative (i.e. the MC is a competent bartender). Will he get fired after several mistakes and get a new job? Will there be a whole different mini-game when he is subsequently employed elsewhere?

I know it sounds like I am trolling with those questions but I am being serious. What is the point of negative outcomes in this mini-game as it pertains to the forward momentum of the story you are building? You put work into coding something and I applaud the effort but it just feels like the effort could have been better allocated to other means of determining character relationships.

I don't agree. When you have 10 saves minimum for whatever stuff you're going after, yes ok it's replayability, but doing 10 times halloween then christmas with classes in between and the little stuff on the phone, for either 4 lines of text or another path, the mini-games and the sandbox are not more enjoyable. At some point it becomes mechanical.

I don't see how it would be different here. The mini-game is thematic (like that game where you street race) so, relevant (for stats too), and the sandbox is 5 things to click, come on.

The making a drink thing loses its charm after the 4th or 5th time, really could use the option to skip it.

Can't skip minigame, can't change MC name, can't skip, and can't change textbox transparency. What are we doing gang?

Ok, I played again, and I was wrong, there was no scene with Skylar, it was with Kristen, they just happen to wear the same underwear, which confused me.

However, there are a couple more suggestions I have for the Dev.

1. In order to try out some different branches I made a bunch of saves, and then I realized that I can't delete those saves, that's quite an annoying problem that needs to be addressed.

2. Wherever there are stats in the game, it's nice to have the option to track those stats. This game had a stat bar at the top of the screen which just disappeared after a while, don't know if it's a glitch or by design, but you need to either keep the stat bar visible or add a phone or something in the future to be able to track stats that way.

Yeah I did notice that. Like the first choice you make doing Jules' test seems to track the 4 stats, but there doesnt seem to be a way to track them after that. I notice I was getting more points but I dont think we're able to see how many

The first couple of Minutes Play-Time I enjoyed the Game... until I noticed a lot of AI enhancements of Images already at the Start. Then I needed to go onto the Street to get some Groceries... and I finally got there (I skip the nonsense in-between), there I met another Girl that gave me a 4 Question Quiz - absolute stupid in my Opinion, but seems necessary because of "reason" the Game needs the MC to gather these Points later on, Character, Relationships... maybe?! Then we get to our Map! Another Free-Room Game!
That was the Point where I ended this Game and deleted it from my Drive. Sorry.

And reading so many Comments here regarding a forced Mini-Game no one really likes - but again is necessary because of "Dev reasons" and it's not really skip-able but gives still some random Point that are also important for the Progress of the MC in the Game and relationships?! WTF?!
If it's skip-able, don't give out any (random) Points - or take out that stupid Mini Game!
People will end up abandoning this Game because there are things in it that don't really need to be in it but the Dev just thinks they need to be in for "progress" reasons.

Also, if the Game now has "AI Animations" in it - then it needs to get the corresponding Tag "AI CG" added in the OP. People play the Game in it's current form it is presented and uploaded... so if there is any form of AI in it, the Game needs to be tagged correctly.
