Thank you for the feedback. There's a lot of text at the beginning of the game because I wanted to provide plenty of context—about the main character, the events from his past, and the key characters. In the next update, I’ll see what I can do and try to find the right balance.

As for the long videos (I know some of them are nearly a minute long), I’ll work on standardizing their length to around 20–30 seconds each — or even shorter.
If I may give a suggestion, don't just tell us about the character's backstory. Maybe start with the father's death and the MC learning about it, describe the complicated emotions he feels at this news, briefly mentioning the abusive situation and the new norm with the stepmom. Afterwards you can have the MC leave, slip into a life of crime, include the exciting stuff in that part. Maybe during the life of crime you can include some throw away sex scene to keep the horny viewers interested.

I'd also rework the stuff once the player gets home into the game itself. It's not a major difference, but I think it could be reshaped into the actual sandbox to give better semblance of a game. Save the time of the people rushing for the porn. Plus it's good to pace out the story so we're not reading so much so quickly. Ever play a game that has an hour long intro cutscene before you can even play? It's like that.

If the story needs this backstory to explain it, then why not start the story at the info that needs telling? It doesn't have to be super long, but it's more engaging than reading a long exposition dump. I think it is written fairly well, it's just the info heavy beginning is overbearing.

stopped at the point where aj wakes you up. theres no incest here both your mother and father is dead, and that means the "stepcast" is not your step family anymore so its a dogshit incest plot, well the is no incest.
only way ill return to this is if the death of your mother is removed and stepcast is removed

I agree with you, there's way too much text ... even for an introduction /storytelling background. About the videos, depending on your browser, if you right click on them and select Show Controls

On a personal note, this seemed like a "kinetic novel" , the player being able to just press "Continue" , "Continue" , "Continue" (or whatever word/s moved to the next page of the story) thus being far from a v1.0 imho, more 50-60% of the text I've skipped, it was exhausting to read so much, having to scroll down to the "center of the earth" just to press another "Continue" . The bright white background images will get people blind while trying to read the whole text, I've got eyes strain reading less than half.
The story premise is interesting ( from what I've managed to read ) wish you good luck with the game. I'll give it another try when I'll be able to actually do something in the game. How often do you intend to add more content ?!?

This will only be in the introduction of the game. After that, I’ve created a small open world that you access once you finish the intro. There isn’t much to do there yet, but there’s already some content available through the MC’s laptop and three random events at the nightclub. Starting with the next update, the game will no longer be linear—each character will have their own mission path to follow.

As for that, I can fix it by lowering the brightness of the images as much as possible using an image editing program.

How often do you intend to add more content ?!?
I’m not sure yet—it’ll depend on the size of each update. My goal is to release one update per month, but I want to gain a bit more experience before committing to a fixed release schedule. Once I start and finish the next update, I’m confident I’ll have a clearer answer.

Online version needed
This first release won’t have an online version. But I’ve already started working on the next update, and in that one, I’ll see if I can include an online version for those who prefer not to download the game.

Online version is necessary in my opinion, as the game is not complete/pilot its better not downloading every version. Also make it on your own website so with ads you can make bucks

As you said yourself, this is a 'pilot' version—with it, I just want to understand what I did right and what I did wrong. I don’t want to put an online version of my game out there until it’s good enough, even though I’d probably get more feedback that way. But from the little feedback I’ve already received here, I think I’ve identified my biggest mistakes. I’ll try to make a big quality leap in my next update so I can release it online.

what's up with all the images in the preview being stretched or squeezed?
Are you referring to the background images in the previews? I took some of them in a lower resolution and resized them to a larger size. I think that's why some of them look stretched or squeeze.

So, is what you released the intro? Because, if it is, I am begging you to shorten it by 50 screens, at the least. Nothing kills a player's interest quicker than an intro/tutorial that is several walls of text that take 2 hours to get through. The intro is for 3 things: setting the stage, introducing the major cast, and establishing the overarching plot. If it takes you more than a handful of scenes to do all that, you've already messed up. Here's some insight:

-Introduce the "family" characters all at once. Figure out what kind of setting would allow for this. Most other html/ren'py games use something like a breakfast scene.

-It should only take a few lines to explain why the MC is who they are, why they are in the situation they're in, and what you (the player) are expected to do.

-Side characters like Violet are essential, but putting us through several scenes with her and doing the sex before we meet some kind of arbitrary requirement is incredibly underwhelming. How have I earned sex with her? In fact, if all the women in this game are easily impressed by my existence, why would I care about pursuing anything with them when I have control? I have zero incentive to make an effort once the goal is accomplished in the intro.

-You do not need to give us every goddamn detail about the world in the intro. Learn how world-building works. It takes time to establish locations, people, etc. A bad writer puts everything into the intro and ends up leaving nothing for their audience to be surprised by. A good writer gives bits and pieces while interweaving those into the plot.

You seem to be trying to push too much onto the player and you're just boring us at this point. If you want to write a kinetic novel, fine. Use the proper tag. But, if this is meant to be a game where we pick and choose our interactions, stop. Do a lot of cutting of stuff and deciding where you'll put it later. You want your audience to at least figure out the gameplay loop before they make that decision to continue or quit. If your audience isn't even through the intro before they say "fuck this game and the guy making it" then you've failed as a dev and a writer.

Yeah I just mean all the model pics as well are either stretched or squeezed, giving it a feeling of low quality honestly

Not 100% sure if that dancing minigame is winnable, but im sorry to say its not a fun experience. If the audio cues are supposed to happen on clicks sometimes they dont play and its very jarring and not responsive. Either slow it down or make the arrow keys be useable instead of clicking please.
