Feels more like a DLC to the original game than a standalone game. It's still a good time though. It was nice seeing Lizzie and John's relationship develop further. I only recommend playing this game if you've played the previous title and have enjoyed it.
I feel the same, the only route that gets development are the true ending, everything else when you do shit just the game just end prematurely with few exceptions

what a strange game. it's an all-so-subversive deconstruction of the genre, but why would anyone even bother to deconstruct something as unsophisticated and crude as yandere h-vns? it's like a serious essay about the plot and underlying themes of "deep throat" (1972), dismantling the concet of something no one ever considered to be of artistic merit in first place.

it's still one of the best vns of that sort i ever read. the romance story is very well written, the perspective shift is kind of cool, and the "faceless self insert" male character actually develops some depth over the course of the story. i do like this vn a lot.

maybe i'm growing out of hentai.

Just finished this game after finishing Crimson Gray 1 a couple days ago. As a Yandere fan this and the first game are definitely two of the best, if not the best, Yandere games I have ever played (the only one that comes close is the one simply called "Yandere", though for completely different reasons). They are also pretty much the only Yandere games I have ever played where there is a serious (and successful!) attempt at delving into the mind of the Yandere (including interesting small touches using the gameplay and character pictures that I won't spoil) and trying to actually understand her and find a way to minimize her worst instincts and focus on her best. Like, I normally find the bad ends in Yandere games to be an important aspect of what interests me in playing them, but here I didn't even want to see the bad ends because the story gripped me to the degree that I didn't want to see any of the two main characters get hurt in anyway! Sierra Lee has definitely written a truly awesome story here :).

As for the other aspects of the game, the CGs are few but are nice and well drawn, and the music fits the scenes but isn't remarkable.

Overall, this game series is definitely recommended, and I definitely hope for a sequel! I wouldn't mind some suggestions for other great Yandere games that I might have missed too ;).

Seriously, why do repackers like IGG even doing this.

...Anyways, cleaned and recompiled the project properly, with the latest Renpy 7.1. Also, executable should now be clean from the annoying igg's stuff, by the way.

So I noticed that this link is now dead, and that I downloaded in early 2019 a version of this game that is notably smaller than the version linked to in the OP and doesn't have any of IGG's links (though like mentioned earlier I hadn't played it until now). I think it is fair to assume that this is the version that I downloaded and that it is superior to the version in the OP. Thus, I decided to reupload this version. Here you go guys :).

If a Crimson Gray 2 is released some day i was thinking that it would be interesting if it had a dynamic where you play as John in some parts and as Lizzie in others, or at least you being able to choose if you wanted to play the game with John or Lizzie, would give interesting perspectives
That is a really great idea. Maybe one would start as John and unlock Lizzie's "scenario" upon completing John's. Definitely hope that happens when/if CG2 (a funny abbreviation considering that this game series has very few CGs lol) is made :D.

I belive I have all CGs, but I'm missing 3 portraits alternative versions. (Wierdly even tho the one where both of them are smilling is the one I have currently displayed on the main menu but it is not unlocked on the gallery)
Would you mind uploading your save? Having a full save (well, almost full) would be pretty nice for checking out the CGs that one missed :).

Just choose the following options,

John would want you to let it go (use the arrow keys to choose the option, as the mouse will fight you here)
Explain fully
Start making dinner
Have sex! (the mouse is REALLY insistent here, just go with it, it is the best option XD)
Ignore other and find John (all the text options here are actually different to what she really thinks, what you see when you highlight the options is her real thoughts)
Take John's idea
Have some fun (H-Scene 1)
Be quietly supportive (choosing the other is a horrendously bad choice)
Kill her (hover your cursor over options until you see once change to Don't kill her yet)
End the conversation and tell John all about it
Explain the thoughts that went into the notebook (NECESSARY FOR TRUE ENDING)
Ask John about it (choosing ignore just makes her worse then reloops the option)
...trust him. (make certain you choose the option without the capital letter! If you chose to explain notebook earlier you know why this is important)

Then enjoy the final H-Scene and ending!
So I've just finished on a blind playthrough, chose all of this options including the hidden "DON'T kill her yet", even thought my mouse was defective at some points until I realized the crazy was the problem not the hardware, GOT the wedding but there was no FINAL H-SCENE, weird since in the game picture samples there is clearly supposed to be one at the wedding or after. Anyone else have this happen? For me after the wedding and the happy pic of them leaving it it just goes back to the main menu.

There isn't supposed to be an h-scene at the very end. The last possible h-scene is getting naughty in the dressing room before the wedding. Not everything in the gallery is lewd, so maybe you are missing a variation on the wedding or ending pictures.

I think theres no 4 last pictures and only 2 portraits even if it sais 5, cus they use the same renpy base game for this expantion, if you use your previous save (original game) in the 1.5 it unlocks all pictures and it still miss the last 4 and 3 portraits

The beginning part of the game is absolutely chilling to me. I know many people who gone through the kind of things the protag go though.
You are a diagnosed with a mental illness of some kind, can be ranged from very simple to extremely complex and debilitating. It doesn't matter, because once you're determined to need medical assistance, everything you say are no longer reliable. Forget trusting your own words, even things you hear from others can be falsified. And I don't mean in that you are schizo, but every word you hear are now filtered through a layer of untrust, as they get melded in the many layers of blurs and grays.
I have seen friends who became fixated and miss huge chunk of what's been said. I have friends who remember things that they can't distinguish what's real or not. I have friends who simply have adhd, and he simply doesn't realise people are talking to him.
The end result was the same, they were given medicine. They were told they need it, and that they should trust the professionals. We become complacent with it, and also tell them to take it, as allows us to sleep better at night.
All the while their brain is in turmoil that their whole life is in constant doubt, taking a drug that makes them exhibit external behaviours that indicate them to be "normal"

Gosh, I've thought about this stuff alot as someone who had been in a sort of caretaker position before for a few years, and this is the first time I got to read something portrayed the opposite perspective in the exact way of which I imagined. Not sure how valid these thoughts are, but to me, they're super chilling.

I wonder if Lizzie would like Hunt Showdown. Seems like it would be more up her alley with detailed sound design and the option to never use guns if you really felt like it

I love the song choice, every time that piano song starts playing i think out loud "number 7... student watches porn... and gets naked"
