Unless the dev starts to lose subscribers, they have absolutely no incentive to do that. In fact, the dev is incentivised to keep the updates as small as possible because then they have to do less work, and they can keep the money coming in longer.
True, but the reason this one is sticking out is because it is unusually short; and that's because Vertigo has a consistent track record of delivering longer updates and still making their monthly deadline. As far as I now, they have yet to skip a month. So maybe something came up in real life that cut into their time, or they otherwise had some production issues. Certainly not unheard of. We won't know if this is truly a downturn in the delivery of content until a few month from now, as only then will be be able to see if this is an anomalous blip or the start of a new normal. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, because the quality of the content is still solid. The writing is still as charming as ever; and the work they put into posing, faces, and general 'cinematography' has remained stellar.
