How the hell do I beat the mercury elemental, can't seem to find the right strategy for her
I just used Rithris and Lyn, and cycled through tempting her and using lightning to stop her mercury surge bar. Switching when either covenant would be too heavily damaged. As with the previous games Tempt magic 'damage' cannot 'kill' so as long as you use Rithris' Captivate and are using the Fervor stat boost she should be manageable.

Does anyone know how to get the alloy cube? I tried looking in the quicksilver grotto, but nothing is showing up.
Keep looking, you have to lookout for a white sparkle on the ground. To be more specific, it should be towards the top right of the cave, I believe a small open space inside the mercury.

Plus Covenents like the Ashen cat no longer seem to have a basic passive effect on any of your stats makeing the effort taken to aquire it rather worthless... the scene was hot and the covenent really made a difference in Chapter 4 and 5... but now it's only ornamental, at best an achievement badge to show off
Yeah, wished there were more passive effects, where you don't have to equip the covenant to actually use. Switch between Mella for overworld speed and Lyn for the lightning trap was tedious. -.- and the shield destructor would have been useful at the start for them royal guards, but I like better overworld speed.

Thanks! I managed to find it. It is in the empty space in the top right. The sparkle is sporadic, not constant, which is probably why I missed it.

Can anyone tell me if i missed something? Completed all the quests, yet the 2nd to last is still ???. The heart shaped rock thing in collection i haven't found even though i've talked with every imp a few times. And did i complete the gallery? since the other two rows have 4 girls but the top one only has 3 (chapter 6)

And was there any big changes in chapter 5? last version i played was beta 1.1.. honestly regretting completeing 6th chapter without re-doing 5th

The last quest is in the bottom left house close to the palace. There is an Imp in the sulfur spring which becomes reachable after getting the covenant. The quest is to gather 15 skins and the reward is the heart rock

I don't understand why the difficulty slider doesn't also works on mini bosses for decreasing their stats. The mercury elemental really annoying. It feels for me that the developer overrates how much fun the fighting system is. Loosing fights over and over again, because you made a single mistake isn't much fun for me, if the whole fighting system is nothing more then switching convents and spamming healing items.

The Mercury Elemental should be a boss, everyone with that pentagram fight introduction. Minibosses don't have it, for example the Obsidian Shamans. Also, you immediately feel the difference between 50% and 100% boss difficulty, because it isn't just half the difficulty, it is more than that because stat reduction has a bigger impact. Pay attention that you readjust the difficulty slider again when you load a game, it resets (or it might just be on the first load after starting the game).

But besides that, I agree on the point that combat is too much about using healing items. Sure, you have the covenants and the abilities, but it also relies too much on using healing items. What was that comment again about not getting fat from eating all those flameberry pies? Just giving us more powerful healing items doesn't make it that much better.

Though in my opinion the action speed is much worse. One example is that you rarely have the chance to attack first if not already the case, switching tactics doesn't solve the problem (which I had at least hoped) and you might also want to have another covenant equipped at the beginning of the battle, especially since you don't get the first action. This is especially annoying if it is the case for the first enemy you encounter in a chapter. If you don't want to fight the enemy (for example because you want another one) and still get hit then your best option would be to just reload the game and get that lost hp back. The only alternative would be to stick with it and grind more.

To be honest, I had hoped the combat would take a different approach when I started this game but it quickly went into the direction of forcing more efficiency. Sure, there is some leeway, but mistakes are more severely punished, most often in form of loosing more hp items and which you could potentially run out of if you efficiency is not good enough. Someone would probably now reply about using the right resistances, but the point is that it is exactly what I mean, forcing efficiency, which should not be expected from every player.

I should probably mention that this is not just an average game, it is a porn game, so not everyone will take it as seriously as a normal game. Now you could argue about that people who are just interested in the scenes should just get the HD files or access to the gallery, but then they would be missing out on the story of the game, which gives these scenes some weight. Personally I think that scenes are much more enjoyable if you have context for them, a simple scene can't achieve that.

Back to the combat, there should be more leeway for mistakes in my opinion. The boss slider is already doing a good job for those who just want it to be easier, but that doesn't account for normal enemies and minibosses. You should also consider those who are more leisurely about this, not just those who are at least somewhat serious. With how the current combat system works, I am more inclined towards being leisurely and less about being serious.
This is not about how difficult the combat system is, someone who is more serious might have no problems with it, but how it is structured, which is why someone might not want to get serious in the first place.

is there a way to combine into one file so i dont have to re load my stats
The game is a WIP, with every new chapter comes new content as well as reworked mechanics (combat, save system, etc.).
If the dev would always combine the chapters he would have to adjust the previous chapters as well to make them consistent, and that with the possibility that the adjusted things would get adjusted again, so he would just end up with more work. It is better to leave that for the end, or at least for some point when the changes are more likely to be set in stone and probably won't get changed yet again.
For now it is not possible to put them into one file, not just because of consistency, but compatibility.

The dev has mentioned plans to combine all the chapters into one game once the current story arc is done I believe. That would include updating all the chapters to the same mechanics and so on, but that's still far in the future I'd guess. No idea how long the first arc will be.

Man, I've tried like 20 times to beat the mercury elemental, and I just can't get it. I also refuse to grind levels for 2 hours with this repetitive combat in order to have a better chance. I think I'll wait until one of the kind people here makes a cheat mod like they did for chapter 3.

Kill her and move on. The challenge is to temp her, but will not impact the story if you don't . You can just 3 shot her probably and move on. If you're not up for the challenge you have an alternative, stop crying, you piece of shit, i can't believe how entitled do you believe you are that you should get everything for no work?
