Looks like they are close to releasing an update.
"now we will work on assembling everything in the game, adding details and sounds..."
This is turning into a pretty long development cycle tho, getting close to 6 months. Fingers crossed that's not the new standard. Hopefully it's due to a bunch of rework on previous scenes aswell as a good chunk of new content.

They've been rather consistent with their updates in the past from what I can tell. Any reason for you to say that?
They're almost done too according to Patreon. So again, they've been consistent, and upfront that they needed a little more time due to rewrites.

I'm so looking forward to the update. So many games I enjoy got the abandoned tag, nice to see this one is still actively being worked on.

It's rare to find pure Corruption based games in Renpy VN. And one with such a good animation it's a Gem. Really looking forward to the update.

There is one short scene for now, but the next update is supposed to have more.
Define recent. There was an update at the beginning of the month saying that they were putting the finishing touches on the latest update, but nothing concrete as far as a release date has been given.

Guys I understand your desire for new content, but the truth is that I am no longer working full time on the game, I had to get another job to pay the bills, I also have a life, family I was trying to meet the deadline without resting and that caused me health problems. And last week I was with my dad, whom I hadn't seen in 5 years.
This week I return to work to finish the update and be able to deliver it as soon as possible, thank you all for your support and patience

That is, in my opinion, information a developers HAS to share with their patrons. And certainly not 6 months into a development cycle. Makes me wonder if the others are still working with him. There was a writer as I recall, who was also active in this thread here. Haven't seen any of them for quite some time.
That devblog is quite the disappointment, not gonna lie. Why is it so hard for developers to be responsible and considerate towards their patrons? Leaving the people who support you financially in the dark is just so...scummy. Really hoping I'm overreacting here and the update is everything people had hoped for.
This game has such massive potential, but doing this kinda stuff with patrons is just...dogshit.

I kind of expected this, and back when the game made its first steps, I voiced my concerns and I even suggested things, since its their first game, and I said, they might , try to do more than they can deliver,
got a lots of facepalm in response, by fanboys, and even the devs, show more of an arrogance, that "oh we know what we're doing we know better " , just wait and see.
And here we are
I've seen, and experienced many game, with first seemingly great potential, but mostly with big talks, that you know in the end wont be able to deliver, I sincerely try to warn them, may be drop some of the idea, make it more simple more linear, more easily managable.
but, of course not. Here a new update with 5 minutes of playtime, with 100 new image, and somehow the big breakthrough never happened, wonder why?!
I don't disagree with your sentiment here, but to play devil's advocate for just a second.
- Patrons were informed that there were going to be some rewrites and that they would need more time than normal to accomplish them.
- There was a post just at the beggining of the month saying it was almost complete and they were putting the finishing touches on it.
- Immediately the patrons started demanding to know when the release was despite having pretty consistent updates and teases in the interim between it's going to take a little longer and it's almost done.

Hello, the fact that I don't write here doesn't mean that my patrons don't know what's happening with the project. As Blurpee69 says, information has been provided about the progress of the work being done. Both I and the writer are working and we don't plan to give up, it's just that the development time is affected by my new work situation and because I also have a personal life. Greetings
