The only thing I found for a black screen error on Linux was if the filepath to the game contains illegal characters such as spaces, the game itself should be fine since I specifically use underscores instead of spaces for that reason, but if it's in another folder with an invalid name that could be the issue. Otherwise, have you played other RPG Maker MV games on your Linux computer? That might help determine if the issue is specific to my game or not. You could also see if it's a permission issue.Linux-version isn't working. A window will open, but it stays black.
Nope no spaces in the file path. I'm still pretty new to linux. The only rpg-maker game I've played since changing OS was on Steam, so I don't really know if it was using proton or ran natively. The only thing I found for a black screen error on Linux was if the filepath to the game contains illegal characters such as spaces, the game itself should be fine since I specifically use underscores instead of spaces for that reason, but if it's in another folder with an invalid name that could be the issue. Two things to note for picking Elmsbloom. If the blue flower on the map isn't sparkling, that means you've already picked flowers from there, and can't get more from that particular spot. If it is sparkling, you can pick it up, but there isn't a pop up every single time you pick it, so you might be pressing z twice and thinking it isn't working because you only get a message when picking a spot you've already gotten flowers from. Not sure why the game would make you constantly fight Elves, it should have a minimum number of steps before an encounter appears. If you are still unable to get flowers, you can upload your save folder (I need both the file and the global.rpgsave file) to here and I can look and see if there's some kind of bug.StickyIckyCiC :
This concerns version 0.56.3 :
Having a problem completing the Guild's "Material Gathering" Quest commissioned by Beatrice .
The first visit I made to the area, got "some" Dickweed, and 7 - Elmsblooms , after which, it wouldn't "allow" me to pick anymore without constantly fighting Elves, one battle after another .
Really, one can only 'play' through a town gang-bang so many times , in one visit ,Before it gets Very Old/Rather Boring !
After leaving that area, and returning another day to "finish" the Quest . . . find I can no-longer collect any more Elmsblooms !
I still need 8 more, of the 15 originally needed, . . . and thus can't finish the Quest, . . . which is holding up further game progress !
PS - Is there a way to "block" some content, like anilingus for example ?
(not really into that ) didn't notice any way/option, to block/avoid, certain content , . . . did I miss that ability/feature, somewhere ?
After closing down game for a bit, and later, re-loading it back up, the "collection process", was working again .Two things to note for picking Elmsbloom. As for blocking certain content, no, there isn't really a way to do that, sorry.
Yeah since you mentioned you could run it without issue via Lutris I assumed you were just going with that anyways, but thanks for trying other games to see. I deploy the Linux version because why not but I don't know very much about Linux so I'm not the most helpful with issues that occur.StickyIckyCiC
So I tried to run a different game, but I couldn't get it to run since it had no executable.
Searching for help isn't working either, since everybody just tells you to use wine.
I'm sorry, but I give up.
It was hard enough to even find a RPGMaker-game with a linux-version. Since almost no one seems to bother making one.
So I'm not gonna waste anymore time on this issue. Lutris works just fine for me.
Glad to hear it's working now. After closing down game for a bit, and later, re-loading it back up, the "collection process", was working again .
Must have been a glitch .
Thanks for your Reply, though .![]()
Yes, in Elmgar with all the portals there is an "Art Scene Reviewer" portal, which is the recollection room. It only has scenes with artwork in it though, not every scene in the game. This game have a recollection room??
I'm having the same problem and have tried downloading from the itch app still same problem.Does anyone else who has downloaded the windows version have trouble starting the game? The game window doesn't even open for me
I would at least need to know what issues you are having if you'd like me to try and help. Is it giving an error code? Just a black screen? What exactly have you tried?Tried anything but it doesn't work with joiplay don't know why

Two suggestions you can try. First, move the game to somewhere with a shorter filepath like your desktop, and see if it runs then. Second, run it with administrator privileges. Also, if those don't work, when you run the game, does it open a process in task manager? I'm not exactly sure what would be causing this, Windows usually doesn't have any issues.I'm having the same problem and have tried downloading from the itch app still same problem.
When i have tried on the web version it says there is a problem loading map004.json
Weird, the movement event that causes this issue is set to end movement if the player can't reach the intended destination, but it just doesn't do that for some reason. Anyways, the bug should be fixed with this patch, and if you open the debugger and select "Fix Player Stuck Moving", it should fix your bugged save, as I was able to replicate the issue myself. Thanks for reporting that. After returning from the Church, trying to get into Elmgar, I trigger one of Alexanders events (Where you mention you're on the third floor), then I'm permanently stuck. I can still interact with menus and all of that, I just can't move.
Then, when I used the debugger tool to get unstuck, it gets me locked into a path to the garden in the town, and it automatically does that no matter how much I use it.
This is what it says whenever I try to open the game the first time; after that nothing pops up at all for me. I haven't downloaded or changed anything, so I don't know what's going on. Other similar .exes don't have the issue. Two suggestions you can try. First, move the game to somewhere with a shorter filepath like your desktop, and see if it runs then. That is a common error. Normally, if you click ok, it should go away. Then, typically, it will come back. After a few ok's, it should stay away. This is what it says whenever I try to open the game the first time; after that nothing pops up at all for me. I think I know what you mean, but this is different. The game never opens even after I click OK.That is a common error. Normally, if you click ok, it should go away. Then, typically, it will come back. After a few ok's, it should stay away.
Yeah that nw.js error is almost certainly unrelated, but it does mean the game is trying to start, which is something. Did you check task manager after running the game? It would probably appear as "game (32 bit)" there. You mention other .exes not having any issues, do you know if you've run other RPG Maker MV games without issues on your computer? Actually, the best thing would probably be for you to test this. This is what it says whenever I try to open the game the first time; after that nothing pops up at all for me. Yes, the similar rpg maker games is what I meant; sry for not making that clear. Mega
It's a default RPG Maker MV game with absolutely no modifications or plugins. If this doesn't work, then your computer has some sort of issue with RPG Maker MV itself, rather than my game in particular.
