I don't mind AI art as long as the game is good and the art is coherent.

But it doesn't seem to be the case here.

Why do some people hate AI art? I find it quite cool to be honest and it's gonna be fun seeing how it keeps improving.
you cant make anything good and consistent with AI, there just no way.
unstable diffusion is your best bet in making good AI but that thing took way too many effort to get right.
i take shit handmade art over AI anytime.

I worry that in the future this site will full of "AI Artworks".
People used to worry about stolen art games as well in the past. Thing is, the inconsistency in quality will never catch on, when the artwork looks like it comes from completely different and random places most players can't take the game seriously.

Unless AI improves a lot you shouldn't worry, and if it does improve to the point of making consistent artwork then it wouldn't be a problem anymore.

You definitely can, but like with regular art it takes time and effort. There are a couple of games on here with AI art that genuinely looks pretty good. The big difference is the people making those games don't just take the AI generated stuff and paste it into their games, they edit and sometimes even recreate the image themselves to fit into a more consistent style. Either way, good art requires a good deal of human input, and the art in this game is what happens when human input is at a minimum.

You can tell when people are using AI as a helpful tool and when someone is using it lazily to make a quick buck.

thats the thing, it took too many effort than just drawing it from scratch yourself.
i train a model in unstable diffusion before and the process of getting it right is just tedious and not fun and its not always perfect, not viable in game development when you need a very specific thing.
it can be used for generating a generic background, skybox, texture but theres no way im using a AI to recreate a scene or making a specific character.

still, i can definitely see AI would be much easier to use and help artist speeding up their workflow by a lot.

It's not cuckolding but actually more of a open mariage / wife sharing kink... Mr. Claus is sexting to Mrs. Claus about his sex party...
There is an ecological / tantric subtext in the Minecraft dream...
The femdom / blue balls BDSM scene is a bit insane though...

Weirdly I actually like where this weird AI amateur creation is going...

I can say that this is already possible. It's called embeddings and hypernetworks. It allows AI generation to be more consistent to a particular style.

I find it funny that the main worry is that making porn games is more accessible. I guess AI art is gonna usher eroge into it's Soundcloud rap phase where anyone with the work ethic and basic tools can make stuff to mixed results.
