I took one look at this and could tell it was ai art. I'm excited for the progress of AI but now I'm starting to worry about the prospect of millions of ai generated dogshit h games flooding the internet.

Okay, this is just disappointing. Like come on. I'm starting to see a pattern with these AI art games however.

- Awfully short (like, a quick fap and leave game, almost barely have any content for a first release)

- Zero changes to the GUI (Hehehe, just gonna slap one of the generic theme presets from Ren'Py and call it a day! And don't give me the bullshit excuse "bUt I'm NoT a gRaPhIc dEsIgNer!!" Purchase a Ren'Py GUI pack. Commission one. Better yet, there's plenty of free ones to use!)

- The penis (What the FUCK is up with the penis?? Like bro??)

- the fuck is that writing? (At this point if you're using AI art why not make the AI write some ~CHRISTMAS EROTICA~ and also call it a day.) Magic powers..?

- Eyes/proportions (Now, I don't use AI art gens very often because I have no use for it, but this could be an encoding issue. I remember DALL-E having trouble encoding eyes so people would almost always end up faceless. For some reason the characters always need to have big boobs and a big ass for some reason. Give our flat chested queens some love too!)

- Inconsistences (Sometimes the character's hair changes and same with their eyes. From one scene their eyes are purple, now it suddenly turns green? Sometimes their hair length and bangs change too. Same with their outfit, but I'm not gonna go detailed.)

But really, it's not the AI, it's the user. And also the AI too, kind of. What I can say though is be more specific with your prompts so it doesn't turn into inconsistent shit! But it seems most people see AI as a way to make a quick buck. So there's that. Same with DAZ, Koikatsu, Honey Select, people will use it to make a quick buck. But always of course there will be those rare gems.

But this ain't it, chief.

That's because currently AI users don't bother adding style tags or training custom models, and use unmodified AnythingV3 / NovelAI model. With more advanced AI art engineering, the most precise method is looking at character's hands.

Honestly feel like it should be a rule that they could only use the one art style.

It's already the case with daz3d, anyone can make a shitty vn porn game.

Much like Photoshop, AI art generation is a just another tool in your arsenal but admittedly one that can do a lot more of the needed work for you. While it's pretty amazing how far and fast it's come, a lot of the outputs really still need a human to adjust or correct finer details like hands or just double checking to make sure an asscheek isn't blending into the shoulders. Anyone who uses such flawed images deserves the criticism they'll get.

TL;DR - If you're going to bother using AI art, take the time and effort to make sure it looks good and doesn't have blatantly obvious flaws that indicate it's AI generated.

I swear some of these people either need to hire an editor or just learn to edit it themselves.

seem strange to hate ai art, the result when done corectly is ... average or good, it feel as wrong to me as people hating rpgm because of people using it without understanding how it work, why bitching about a program when it's the user doing shit ? (people have been doing shit with daze and koikatsu for years and don't seem to get that much hate)

in the end even an half-assed ai art is better than the ED inducing doodles you see in some other game i think

I feel like tho with at least RPG maker you have to and always will have to know what you are doing when it comes to using the software while with AI art eventually it will just be with the press of a button and then boom. That's what I'm nervous about. The lack of human involvement when it comes to the art.

at the moment it's clearly not the case that you could press one bouton and get good result (for both ^^) and the problem with the reputation of those program is people thinking they can use randomly generated stuff after a couple of minute of work and later dump this around here with comicaly half a dozen way to pay tribute to their great work T_T

thought a rogue-like game with randomly generated map is not that bad, and it's better to get ai generated art than some of the bonner killing doodles in some game

Everyone can have a prefrence but I personally find more pleasure and interest through the art a person drew knowing a human made it rather then asked the robot to do it for them. People ask for specific orders for a subway sandwitch but why do we not give them praise? Odd.

i mostly agree with you, i prefer hand drawn art, but when said art isn't apealing at all and look like the art drawn by "ONE" i ... prefer a well made ai art, it's a tooll that can help people without the money to get an artist ( and have the artistic ability of a three years old ^^ no shame it happen :X) but still have a good story (those that don't have at least that are a pain in my book :/ )

i do read "ONE" manga and webmanga, they are fun, even with the execptionaly eye bleaching level of the art ... but i don't think i could get of with it ^^ (i still offer prayer to thank the person who made someone other than ONE draw the art for one punch man ^^)
