Why do some people hate AI art? I find it quite cool to be honest and it's gonna be fun seeing how it keeps improving.
People like to go with the flow, once a few start raising a topic a lot of people will want to go with it to feel that they are part of something, and that happens unconsciously. Their arguments are always about inconsistences in the feet, hands and whatever, that it doesn't look natural, but honestly, anime art style is never really consistent or have anything natural about it, the eyes take 1/3 the faces, noses without nostrils, no lips and etc. I see no difference in these preview pics to a human made draw of anime style. Now I shall prepare to ignore all the facepalms and answers to this comment and get back to reading my book.

Much like Photoshop, AI art generation is a just another tool in your arsenal but admittedly one that can do a lot more of the needed work for you. While it's pretty amazing how far and fast it's come, a lot of the outputs really still need a human to adjust or correct finer details like hands or just double checking to make sure an asscheek isn't blending into the shoulders. Anyone who uses such flawed images deserves the criticism they'll get.
TL;DR - If you're going to bother using AI art, take the time and effort to make sure it looks good and doesn't have blatantly obvious flaws that indicate it's AI generated.

seem strange to hate ai art, the result when done corectly is ... average or good, it feel as wrong to me as people hating rpgm because of people using it without understanding how it work, why bitching about a program when it's the user doing shit ? (people have been doing shit with daze and koikatsu for years and don't seem to get that much hate)
in the end even an half-assed ai art is better than the ED inducing doodles you see in some other game i think

I don't think this is particularly different from the dozens of barebones 3dcg works clogging up this site. When you make game development more accessible, you'll always see a good amount of junk from people who think it's a shortcut for not having to put in any actual effort.
