Am I missing something? I started the Challenge Paladin task (the one that needs 300 hp with the 10 points goal called "Stand your ground") and it mentions us having encountered the Paladin before but I don't remember anything like that. Did I somehow skip it by overprogressing goals? Can somebody clarify?

Yeah, it's an issue that overprogression only shows one scene. It should be from Lancia's questline, where you're acting as a scout for ambushes.

Aww wish there were a way to see the scenes that got skipped that way then. Really takes away from the flow of the narrative.

Alright I have finished R2 content for the time being. I hit like 1.3k MoL on my first run with the 3 new skills but I bet that's nowhere near optimized. If somebody manages to optimize MoL gain with these plz lemme know xD... I also managed to hit like lv 76 on finances which was pretty crazy. Would love new achievements for higher level finances haha.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Also as I had mentioned in a previous comment, the problem with overprogressing on goals causing them to skip scenes is kinda annoying. There's probably still some scenes I missed due to that. Especially with scenes related to opposing goals because having enough power can make it impossible to avoid that even by using the handheld console trick because power just boosts goal progression by a lot. Talking in like millions per action xD... And if it were to be coded such that progression only completes one goal no matter what then that wastes days that might come in handy and just not be as efficient xD

One solution, although I dunno how hard it'd be to implement, would probably be to make a scene viewer in the game? That allows you to replay scenes you have already unlocked in the game. It just seems like a very cool thing to have. Both for taking care of the missed scenes glitch problem, as well as for reviewing scenes you might want to anytime (like the romance scenes or the scenes that only play 1 time when you complete certain actions for the first time like dying for the first time in the first loop, etc). Right now for the romance scenes I just have a save file saved right before the romance scenes would trigger to do something similar but I imagine having the feature built in would be a lot more convenient and also avoid the time it takes to load the files every time you enter the save data screen.

Just my thoughts after finishing the new stuff. Really loved the new content. As always the story keeps me intrigued, leaving me waiting for more. Lancia's definitely become my favorite, can't wait to get more content of her lmao. Keep up the good work, CSdev!

I personally use it on lv 2 because I've found a sweet spot of benefitting from the 50% increased effectiveness from wetworks while at the same time making it easier to maintain self-destructive. Early on self destructive is very useful, hell probably even necessary for unlocking some goals that'd be very hard otherwise. But eventually you are gonna run into actions that take very high health to execute so you might wanna consider instinct for then. Anyways you can easily reset your skill levels so just do what feels right and adjest the levels accordingly!

I like idle games, I really love idle games with a story, and yet this game just doesn't feel like as much fun for me to play, and I think I know why that is now, or at least I've got a better idea. Maybe it's just a me problem, but having to keep repeating the same girl's story while looping to get more MOL to get upgrades so I can actually push deeper into her route just isn't for me. I already know your story, just give me the back half please.
On a more purely story side, I'm afraid the main plot's focus is on the weakest girl in the roster, though given she's gone for most of the route and her stats are a waste of time until WAY later in the game, of course she's getting practically no character development. so now you want me to go focus on running across the globe rescuing this "childhood friend" I barely even know, rather than hanging out with these nice and surprisingly deep girls right at home? No thanks dude.
Honestly if you end up implementing some secret cheat menu like you did in saviors, I think I'd come to love the game a fair bit more, since while the weird life strats to pull off challenge runs for new upgrades is an idea I agree with, the grinding for ML to make those challenge runs viable is a lot less-so

honestly all I'd really need for a cheat menu is either some way to add MOL, or (more preferrably) some way to lower the day count so I have more time to reach those stretch goals like lv 10 finance

Alright I've switched to doing 100 day loops again. Just using my older strategy but instead of heading to Metropolis at the very last day I push it as early as possible to unlock the new MoL action and spend the last couple weeks hopping cities to farm it as much as I can. I managed to hit 1.25k MoL in 100 days using this. Much quicker to farm this way than going through a bigger loop haha... I imagine it can still be optimised further to squeeze more city hops in.

I love how people are optimizing different parts of the game. I'll probably end up trying to prevent the event on day 31 before R3 comes. Meanwhile right now I'm trying my damndest to optimize early loops.

After toying around with some stuff and looking over the high scorers for inspiration I've managed to boost my output even more. But it still doesn't seem like enough to get Most Wanted on Loop 4. Collaborator is probably even harder. Maybe I need to just accept 20 Finances as an interim goal.

I really want to get Most Wanted on Loop 4, but I might actually just have to take a loop to boost MoL first. I still have a few routes I need to try out before I throw in the towel on it though.

Ooh I've yet to try preventing the day 31 event... I'll definitely have to try it. Or maybe when some changes get made to the actual outcome xD

I did it by using body armor. It makes it so that actions that cost health cost 3 stamina per health instead, and then use leftover health when you run out of stamina. You'll have to grind your stamina up a fair bit tho because around the time I did it I had like 550 stamina and 125 hp and it still took me a big chunk of that to do it. Alternately you could bulk up on Instinct and level your wetworks high enough to help you with that, if you don't care about self-destructive much. There's also a new body state you can unlock that gives you 250 max hp following Lancia's storyline but it also comes with a significant downside of locking your diet to one particular hp draining option so that's something to consider only if you are really desperate and just wanna get it done with.

I haven't gotten around to optimizing Paladin at lower MoL yet, I've only done it around 10k-ish where it was much easier.

There's also a body state that's unlocked through the stamina training options in metropolis that gives 200 max hp with a fairly insignificant downside (-20 stamina), that's fairly easy to get with power and/or self destructive
