Did Rue have malicious intent from the outset?
I don't know, but there's no reason to think otherwise. The only actual personality trait we've seen her display so far is cruelty. It even bookends the release: the first time we meet her she's gloating about what she's done to us, and the release ends with her gleefully describing the hell she's engineered for us.

I'm going to try to make the case that Rue - at least in this release - is an extremely unsympathetic character. In and of itself that's fine, but I get the sense you don't really want her to be. And because of the way in which she's unsympathetic, I think it'll be difficult for you to make her more sympathetic later on.

Both the marketing copy and Rue refer to the "ever-increasing" hunger she's afflicted him with. Dozens of cocks a day or he drops dead, and so on. If it truly is ever-increasing, at some point it will be physically or practically impossible for him to satiate it and he will die. Rue has already murdered him - the only choice is whether he'll starve to death "quickly," or in a slow, humiliating way. She clearly prefers the latter.

That's an extremely cruel thing to do to someone. Gratuitous acts of cruelty are one of the few things a character can do that make them almost irredeemably unsympathetic. Thus far it looks like the PC messed up her career plans and perhaps betrayed a confidence, which hardly warrants death. But even if we later find out he'd done something so awful that Rue would be justified in killing him - which would make it difficult for the player to identify with the PC - it still wouldn't justify the way in which she's killing him. Sympathetic characters may kill people, but they don't torture them to death for their own amusement.

The reason I'm writing all this is that I've seen a lot of games with closely related premises fail in a very specific way. "Witch turns guy into sex-addicted girl for dubious reasons" is practically a genre at TFGS. (For the OG example, see .) The dev needs Evil Psycho Bitch to set up the situation he wants, and has fun with that for a while, but almost invariably they later decide they want the witch to be a sympathetic character. It usually doesn't turn out well. And the reason for this is that it's really, really hard to walk back gratuitous cruelty. If you might want to make Rue sympathetic later - or if she's supposed to be sympathetic now - this could become a problem for you, too.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn you've already thought about all this, but as someone who thinks your game has promise, I feel a duty to warn you about some pitfalls I see ahead. Hope it helps.

what other tags are planned? will the futas be extra tall and endowed? will there be preggo?

also, love to see all the talk about having a solid story and the ability to play on as i see fit (y)

Ah, I see. Torture before inevitable death. Welp. I'm not sure if I couldn't fit this into her rant well or decided to cut it for some reason, but there is a cure for his condition. Lemme check to see if I hinted at it... Okay. I haven't. I'll need to think on whether to show it here or later. Something to note.

In any case, as long as she makes you feel something, that's all I'm hoping for. I won't fight my player's conclusions one way or another. Hell, why not have the revenge superseed the offense? You could argue it does. That is good. That is drama!

But she is not the most evil person you'll encounter in the game. You can count on that. None of this will stop the smexy romance either. You can also count on that.

Preggo? Idk. What exactly do you have in mind? You want spawn running around in the game in 9 months? The game's narrative doesn't last that long. Won't even make it to the third trimester if you want the full pregnant look. But perhaps a fast acting pregnancy in the form of inter species mating... Well, you just gave me the idea for a bad ending.

Nice start! It is too early to truly judge the game but it does look promising. The AI art is a bit of a downer, I admit but I don’t find it to be the deal breaker some people seem to think it is. Well, at least as long as the writing, story and characters can compensate for it and so far it looks to be the case. So consider me cautiously optimistic.

True, but once we get to death and especially a slow and torturous one it does make it very hard to still find a character sympathetic, unless the offense was truly heinous.

On this topic you could turn it down a bit, instead of death it could be just unquenchable thirst in the sense that the PC will be constantly tortured by thirst without enough cum but not actually die. Also instead of ever increasing you could state it starts slowly and ramps up to a maximum and/or give ways to turn the need down again (which might be interesting at what kind of depraved acts the PC might need to perform to get a temporary reprieve). Or yet another option: the more days in a row the PC drinks from the same futa the less it quenches his/her thirst forcing the PC to spread the love so to speak. Would be a way to ensure a high number of people will know of the PCs shenanigans leading to further ruined reputation and humiliation as the PC will be seen a as a completely indiscriminate slut for futa dick. Together these changes would turn slowly being tortured to death to break the PC spirit and arrogance by taking away his/her dignity. Less horror, more humiliation kink so to speak.

Apart from that I am curious what will change based on the last choice in the demo, I would be pretty disappointed if it does not noticeable alter future interactions with Rue.

Oh and you need to explain why the PC is alone with no help from his/her family which could be expected to start a, in this case literal, witch hunt, but I am guessing that is already planned.

The game would feel sillier with its inclusion, no doubt. I do like to keep magic more grounded in reality and rules based, but hey, who really cares that much if it makes people happy? I'll see whether I can make it happen. No promises.

I'm working on more art as we speak. I won't be able to promise any deadlines before I go through a few development and release cycles to get a better feel for everything. Hopefully, that's understandable.

I second all of those suggestions. I haven't played the game yet, but I'm turned off by the premise because of its extremity. The way it's described as "ever escalating" to the point of needing to feed on dozens of cocks a day just to survive is just ... not only implausible to the point of breaking immersion (breaks willing suspension of disbelief), but also I feel like if I were faced with this exact scenario, I would just lie down and accept death because it's physically or practically impossible to avoid it anyway. It screams futility. (I say that as someone who is a fan of the whole sadistic evil psycho bitch trope btw. Torture is fun, murder is boring.)

Meanwhile, being forced to *live* with this unbearable, torturous thirst that will never go away is what would actually lead me to debase myself in any way needed to make it go away for even just a moment, because what other choice do I have at that point? Kill myself? It's a lot harder to do that proactively than just let it happen (and I speak from experience there...).


Additionally, I think the non-lethal approach offers much better character building opportunities, for both the MC and Rue, and potentially other characters too - If a character is aware of the curse, they can use it to their advantage and blackmail or manipulate the MC. If the curse is lethal, there's less room to play around with that (only a heartless bitch would lead someone on with their life at stake). If it's non-lethal, it's all fair game and you can have characters toy around and lead MC on for days without becoming automatically irredeemable (you can still achieve that through other means ofc).
Then you get the Rue redemption thing (if you wanna go down that route at all), and the fact that MC doesn't technically *have* to do anything - there are many ways you can go with that, character development-wise.



On a different note, scat is off limits - what about piss and smegma? I happen to be a fan of the filthier kinks myself.

It was made with incompetent hands considering I made it in ~one month with no prior coding experience. Some of the pixel art is put together with free game assets, the rest of the art is generated with AI. I do all the coding, writing, and edit all the art with gimp.

Your concerns are very warranted, but know that almost all the issues are due to me wanting to put out a minimally viable product to test out the waters.

So what's wrong with the premise? The only thing most people seem to agree on is that the premise rocks.
This is coming together for me now, I understand the situation better. There was just some dissonance between the art looking very professional and the rest of it being a new developers first experience with something like this, to be honest it's not bad at all for a first game.

The premise isn't bad at all, idk what I was trippin on when I wrote that to be honest. I'm a very direct person so my criticisms tend to come out more harsh than I intend them to. Usually when a dev drops their first game, the art matches the rest of the UI and stuff as being very "placeholder-y" for lack of a better word, and seeing the art threw me off as in a first build it pretty much never looks that finalized and, to be frank, good.

Overall, with the context of the situation I do take back a lot of what I said and wish you luck in future endeavors

I take responsibility for this. There is a tiny detail I couldn't fit into Rue's rant at the end that ends up being your one and only lifeline. I should have written that better. Apologies. I would feel lame for sharing it here so I won't until the next update.

The curse is meant to facilitate a slow descent towards mega sluttery. If that appeals to you, the other details are negotiable and should get out of the way.

But then again, I find myself wondering if Rue would really care if you died :unsure: Idk, you have the option to anger her pretty badly near the end, so it would be hard to care that that specific moment.

Much to thonk about...

Thank you very much for clarifying. It's alright if you dislike any aspect of the game. I didn't mean to make you take back what you said, just wanted to understand the issue with the premise so I could grow as a writer, but I suppose it was a false alarm :unsure:

Let me make it very clear that the kind of people who can tell it to me straight will be taken seriously. No need to hold back.
