this is because of the game developers attempts to prevent bypassing paying them by doing some really dangerous types of coding

no they just try to ban you from the game via storing your ip address on a server somebody in this thread was able to have access to. essentially good intentions but using really dangerous code which under no circumstances should be ever used especially in a single player game(highly not recommended at all by anyone worth their salt as single player games should not need these kinds of functions to begin with) without making sure that no ordinary person can easily access the stored information. (gta 5 forgot to do any safety measures at all for its online mode and was only patched when everyone covered it)

Holy shit it took way too long to figure out how to equip and use damn items, since all current guides seem to mention only previous and outdated version (before Halloween) which had completely different UI.

This game is a security nightmare, I'll just be waiting until it's complete (ie, in like 5 years since the devs seem like the type to milk a patreon dry) before waiting for someone to mod out all this DRM stuff.
This kind of thing doesn't make me want to pay for their game, it makes me want to stay very far away from any software they produce.
