I can't really attest to this since all of the reverse engineering I did on this was on a VM without an internet connection, and I didn't look for it. But I can tell you that they used a ton of tools to try and protect their game.

• You must be registered to see the links
  is used to encrypt the global-metadata.dat file, meaning that using Il2CppDumper or Cpp2IL is impossible unless you decrypt it.
• Even if you decrypt the metadata most of the methods and class names for the relevant code is obfuscated.
• ObfuscatedStrings/Booleans from

  , to protect most of the patreon login metadata (the code is still there even in the free version that doesn't use it). I assume they are using it or something similar for the save data in the registry.

All this tells me that they are quite protective of people messing with the game. Hell all of the shady things they are doing made Windows Defender Trigger as a false positive for some time.

IMO Avoid this game. If you really want to play it at least block it in your firewall, there is no reason it should need a internet connection lol.

I would share the application I have been developing that allowed me to go take a peak but to be blunt I do not trust any of you with it especially given the context that someone could use what they get from it for malicious purposes. besides I have not made an installer yet due to the size being over 100GB and it would not be easy to cram into one and I do not know what else people would do with this multi tool.

Hiding in one of the bear statues only offers breathing room. It doesn't make the evil bear turn around and look for me some where else

They have something more annoying then ip logging I just came back to this game because I have nothing to do right now and besides them not fixing the problem with their system and program that can allow users to see other instances of it running on other computers which if you did not know is bad and whats worse people can use the program as a back door which again REALLY isn't good.

The worst part is that they have stitched the comprimized code and function further within the game itself from the last time I checked which makes it hard to be removed by consumers but the developers as well because so much of the code seems to rely on it that if it was gone it it would cease to function entirely and might even corrupt itself.

well it's normal to try to protect something too much like you said "see running instances and backdoor"

the fact of profiting from cryptiacurves models etc.

I even think it all leads to the botnet issue lol

Appreciate this, but having issues getting it to work. Address just shows up as "p->????????" and I can't edit the value. Any advice on this? I'm new to cheat engine. I was able to find the balance by myself pretty easily but the tokens have been a nightmare trying to find.

I modded and removed the <unavailable> rectangle from on top of it.
Buuut... I don't think they work on the free version of the game, maybe it will be used in a future version or it is something for the patreon version of the game. (Unsure, feel free to correct me, you can probably also find out in their discord)

how do you even use it? do i just put in in the same file as the exe or put in the data folder.
Also as a side note,dose any one know how to bypass the verification?

Has anyone else had trouble with items and the inventory? Any time I see a bottle while in the backrooms, it doesn't get added for me to refill with the lube. Not even in the tutorial. Also, same thing when using said items. Had a horny spray, used it, but the smiling monster (not gonna bother with the name) just took it and nothing else happened, they were still chasing me. I heard the noise, but zilch. Heck, I don't think there's a way to know what item you have equipped beforehand. Would be handy if there was, I dunno, a hotbar or the ability to see it in my hand by looking down?

I mean, I did play the tutorial and know most of this, but for me, any time I press 1-4, I don't see anything. I already have them purchased, I tried cycling them with the mouse wheel, and all I got nothing. AFAIK, there isn't a way to rebind keys either just to see if I had to or not. That one-off about the horny spray happened like twice on two different occasions, but after a clean install, it worked again. No clue as to what it was, and it still didn't fix the inventory issue I have :/

Seems to work fine for me. Speaking of which, if anyone wants to give my Cheat Engine table a try simply open it up with Cheat Engine and attach it to the game then right click either "Money" or "Tokens" then "Change Record -> Value" and put in any number. Let me know if it works or if you get any errors, I scanned for the values in a very crude way but it seems to work fine.
