Ren'Py - Completed - Cure My Addiction [Ch.5 Ep.1 C] [TheGary]

This one game is quite old (compared to right now) and it kinda feels when it goes around how the story progresses; however it has a certain nice realism- touch and non-nonsensical decisions throught the story. I mean yes, it got a lot of fantasy and 'everything's to be alright' but that's one would expect in an adult game, and is fine.

Is not just naked bodies, you get to deal with anyones point of view and there's practically no sex with main characters until the second chapter, in short- it has great build-up, and so much so, it can get you to feel emotions in certain moments...

Definitely recommendable, gotta respect such devoted works.

Very progressive, with multiple chapters, lot D/s and kinks, not simple, wide choice of interlaced quests, beautiful graphism, a lot of characters very different. Many hours of pleasure.

One of the best adult games ever made. Great character designs and fetishes. I think the first few chapters on the boat are better than the following chapters but the developer has put a lot off effort into making all of the content in this game.

This game probably has one of the best easy-going systems I have ever played through. No need for a walk through and everything is extremely clear. Its honestly a well made game...

But I will say that despite how well the game was put together mechanically. This game had one big issue for me. It was really long with very little to give. I am not saying there is a lack of content because there is a ton of it. But there is a really low amount of variety and you often feel like you are just repeating things. You aren't ACTUALLY repeating things its just the same kind of content over and over and eventually you realize you don't have anything to look forward to.

For example in chapter 1 of the game you achieve almost everything you want with the girls except for one of them. Then you hit second chapter and even though your getting new scenes they are still the same fetish or kinks. So the game is very long and can take a lot of hours eventually making you bored of seeing the same kind of scenes over and over with nothing new being introduced other then story and different set up.

Other then that I think everything else was great but I definitely got bored around chapter 2 and felt like I was just playing a game I "had to finish since I started it" after that.

Just finished the game, and I have to say: this is some top quality stuff.

Attractive models, hot sex scenes, characters with individual personalities, it's all there.

If I wanted to criticize something, I would have to say that the corruption aspect is staying somewhat behind it's full potential in the late game.
I'm a corruption fan, the corruption and incest tag is what made me download the game in the first place. I was looking forward to making all female characters completely submit to the MCs dominance, with all characters being slutty enough to have sex with everybody else, including the mother and the two daughters. This is unfortunately not possible, you can't have a complete harem, not all females will submit to you (actually only one completely submits) and you also can't make the make the mother have sexual encounters with her daughters. Maybe change this a little bit in your future endeavours, at least if you are aiming your game at corruption and incest fans. That's why I'm deducting one star.

Now to the Positives.
Speaking about "the one that submits": this game has managed to do something that no porn game has achieved for me so far - in made me feel actually emotionally attached to one of it's characters.
I'm talking about Amy, the bitch turned servant turned loving wife (in my playthrough).
The journey this character takes was brilliant, very well thought out, well paced and with good dialogue and scenes throughout all 5 chapters of the game. When we first meet her, she was easily hateable, a scheming, lying golddigger who tries to manipulate everybody into giving her what she wants: money and power. I loathed her with a passion and wanted to have her off the yacht as soon as possible.
Then came her downfall, very satisfying to watch, finally the bitch received her just desserts. At that point, I still would have preferred to kick her off the yacht, but training her proved to be much more enjoyable, so I didn't mind her staying.
In the follwing chapters, we see her attitude change, she not only submits to us, but has an actual change of character. She becomes a better person, and at the end, I felt genuine affection towards her, because the had to go down a very tough road to arrive where she was now, and she did so without complaining, always giving her best, completely dedicated, loyal to a fault.
I was therefore very pleased when the game gave me the opportunity to marry her to my MC - I did so in a heartbeat, for me there was no competition at all. When I saw her in her final scenes, together with the MC and happily married, I as a player was happy as well.

So to make a long story short: I came for the corruption, but found a love story instead - one of the best love stories I have ever witnessed in any game, and definititely THE best love story in a porn game (for me).

Kudos to TheGary for taking me on this journey, it was a real pleasure, keep it up!

This review is for Chapter 1 only. Will update review for other chapters as I play them.
Gameplay wise, this is the only sandbox game that I've ever enjoyed. This is for 3 reasons: there is little grind, there are a bunch of scenes, and there is a helpful in-game hint system and even a walkthrough. The UI is clean and intuitive.
The story and writing are great light-hearted fun. There are only 7 locations to visit and 6 girls to pursue. Unlike other sandbox games that spam you with a bunch of characters, here you only have a few, so you get intimate with them in depth. Corruption is gradual and feels well earned. No choices to make, but this isn't the type of story heavy game where you want them.
Porn scenes consist of descriptions, renders, animations. Although the animations are bad (2 renders back and forth), the renders and descriptions are great. Most scenes don't have animations. There is a huge variety of scenes and there is also a huge amount of scenes. If you're not getting a scene every 5 minutes then you're doing something wrong. Other reviews complain about the spanking, but it's not that bad. I'd estimate ~20% of the scenes are spanking, and they're pretty vanilla and erotic so that I, as someone who does not have a spanking fetish, was able to enjoy them.

It's amazing how much shit there is on this site with 4.5 stars, and then there are genuinely great games like this sitting at 3.5. The other reviews say that the later chapters aren't interesting, but even if that is true, chapter 1 is still a great 5 star game. One of the few games here that I can confidently recommend.


+ MC isn't the same passive idiot you play as in 90% of VNs.
+ What little grind there is is made much more fun by variations in the scenes. For example, you need to give a girl 3 massages to progress her plot, but every massage is a little different, so it's not like you're just skipping through the same scenes over and over.

- No "Back" (or "Page Up") button to reread text you might have skipped over.
- The ??? character is underdeveloped. Looks like the devs wanted to make her mysterious, but she just comes off as rushed.

Good story. Render are great. Hot characters, each with different personalities and likes. Many scenes.

BUT

While chapter 1 and 2 are perfect, the story quality drops a little in chapter 3, raise again in 4, and big drop in 5.

Chapter 3 i think is the longest one, only because most of the scenes are repeatable from chapter 2. It introduced new mechanics, but unfortunately they weren't to my taste, and i dropped the chapter, didn't played until end. This happened specially because the "how to trigger the scene". The feedback from interface sucks, which was fixed in next chapter

Chapter 4 rise the quality again, but the contract mechanics was a pain in ass. Also the rush in the end about deciding which girl to marry was sad.

Chapter 5 shows the ending of the game. I won't lie, i would like a harem ending, which kind of happens in every ending. The big issue for me here was that chapter 5 isn't really a game. Only a scene-click type of game. I didn't feel either changes in characters behaviour while playing ends. For example, i married Emily but Rachel act the same way as if this didn't happen.

Anyway is a high-quality game that for sure deserves to be played

Interesting story. Render are great, much better than other Ren'Py games. Unique control which is good. Hot and cute models, every character has different face and proportional body. Many variation scenes.

The downside is grinding and you can't go back to previous conversation (you need to load from Autosave if you want to check another option).

Thanks to that created this superb game, i really enjoyed this game and thank you ThL for made the unofficial walkthrough that really handy.

First 2 and most part of the 3rd chapter are very good, I liked the story, characters, the way everything evolves, the comedy, the girls and their sex scenes, the punishing element... It was certainly very nice on that part. Sadly, from the rest of 3 and until the end at 5 the story doesn't seem so interesting, the gameplay gets a bit annoying at some aspects (working the contracts is a boring pain in the ass, some mod to cheat there would be great), though the sex and the graphics continue to be top. I guess it was an idea that was extended more than needed and sadly is not finished too satisfactorily, but certainly deserves to try.

A nice mix between sandbox, grinding and story.

Girls
I am not a big fan of asiatic or old woman but I have to admit that the game offer few tipes for a lot of people. The bodies are well rendered and each girl come with a personality and a bit of story.

Story
I found the story interesting enough to do all the grinding and eager to see what is the next stage in the development of the relation between MC and each girl. The father figure was not killed just to make space to MC to fuck the mother and anyone else without any moral issue which is also a thing I apreciate.
MC is also a likeble person, not a complete jerk that I wish to punch in the face.


Interface
The interface is pleasant and quite intuitive. I liked the tasks interface more in the first chapter then in the second. I had hopes for the third chapter, but it made it even worse.
The loading screen in chapter three looks too rigid and ugly compared with the previous ones.
There are some events that are not so easy to trigger and had to read the forum or the guide to figure out what should I do

Although some of the scenes are repeated over and over, the amount of gameplay is very good, a bit of everything in it. i really enjoyed playing it through. There is some animated sequences but not a lot, if you like to play with some kinks then i am sure you will find some fun here, you can turn off femdom gameplay if you dont like that stuff.

The game start off good but then Dev ruined their character developments after chapter 3,the plot are everywhere and the ending are rushed which make the characters journey pointless.The renders is average and some part look weird but it still okay.Its quite a shame because the game does have potential but since the Dev lost interest with it,they rushed their game to the end.

One of the best long games I've played here. Usually with games of these length, if they aren't good enough, most people lose interest halfway and never finish it.

What I want to say though, the best part of the game was that you could never miss scenes, as the tracker made sure you knew if there was scenes left over, and had hints on how to get them. It might take effort and time, but you can't miss it like other games.

Though I wanna say the game peaked at Chp 2, It's not really fair to the developer because honestly, there are plenty of good scenes in every chapter.

Chapter 1 was good, the system and game mechanics meant the game was abit grindy, but in terms of content it definitely delivered.

Chapter 2 like I mentioned, was probably the best of the 5, the story was progressing nicely, and your relationship with the girls was advancing at a good pace. It had all of the good stuff from chapter 1, and none of the grind.

Chapter 3 was the longest chapter, and also probably had the most amount of scenes, though some of them was repeatables from chapter 2. It introduced a few new game mechanics, but unfortunately also brought a sense of reality to how the story was progressing.

Chapter 4 started off well, but was overshadowed by the strong ending. This was also my major gripe of the game. The fact that there was no harem ending. Of course, that was a personal opinion, and others may think positively of how the game's direction ended up.

Chapter 5 was pretty much individual endings of the 3 female characters. And despite the dread I felt from chapter 4, they were surprisingly fun to play through. It was a long journey, and like it or not, you've developed different feelings for each of the girls. Everyone probably have their own favourite at this point of time. I would have really liked it if Rachel and Charlotte was included in the choices available, and also maybe a harem ending, though it doesn't fit the storyline the author had masterfully weaved.

All in all, I'll always remember the great times this story brought me. If you're undecided about whether to invest the long hours required for this game, my verdict is that you'll have to at least try it. It's good enough to at least deserve that.

Most of my opinions have already been said so ill not repeat too much, great game, lot of promise but fails to deliver. I do hope that the dev might read these reviews and consider returning to this project and continuing it or at least remedying the ending. I love this game and it does pain me to see such promise squandered.

The game started okay good with chapter 1 until chapter 3 then suddenly unexpected things happen like it's out of nowhere just bump into player Rachel step back and get cut-off is probably 1 of the stupid way so that she can give chances to daughter. Funny things is Chapter 4 never got to pickup the story again and then it's rush to chapter 5 to get the ending. Dev seems have lost direction or interest in the game. Then we get 3 ending which is Emily, Chloe and Amy and wow only Emily ending make sense but Chloe and Amy is just like to give more options to the story that has been going nowhere. And Rachel again being cutoff just for the sack of logical ending. After playing this game logical probably the last way to think about the story but yeah no Rachel even after those event since chapter 1 to chapter 3. Even Amy and Chloe got their own ending despite MC just fucking their hole in every possible way and considering what Amy has done in the story like blackmail Rachel she deserves an end too. Hahahaha. Sounds like good writing.
Anyway tldr solid game till chapter 3 after that just rush to the end and some characters just got cut off for the sake of logic and if you're looking for Rachel ending just don't play the game so it won't disappoint you. Imagine playing this game to see the character got cut-off in the end. What a waste story is just mediocre at best and some of it just illogical. New edit somehow Rachel got 3 endings by just always be there for MC as if its enough to justify sudden change no ending for Rachel. It's enough for Rachel to not get her own ending. 1 star for render story just meh after Rachel step back, rush to ending, some questionable ending like why the hell Amy's ending instead of Rachel.

Im replaying episode 1 and 2 cause back when i played Ep3 was barely released.

So far i have seen that every chapter has around 1000 files inside the folder, so thats what we are working with. First episode can be good for a story point of view, not free of a Cringy MC which has a lot of Max from BB moments.

For the second playthrough the story is know, so all the bad things raise and gain the spotlight. Mainly a noticeable lack of renders, for starters, nice renders but also long dialogues with static images. Animation if you can call them that, are terrible bad, they are just 2 images repeating, somce scenes last a lot because Dev decided to make 2 iamges repeat 50 times during 40 seconds with no text at all. Terrible terrible work.

Plotwise, i dont care what dev wants to sell, 80% of the game is about Femdom. In this case woman in posistion of power exercising power and submiting people. The Femdom pack comes with footjobs of course and more BDSM kinks, which contain the femdom pack. If you are not into it you are gonna get bored as fuck, cause the game is Antivanilla, there are a couple of options, but mainly sidecharacters, no vaginal during first episode, and the second starts the same way.

Also noticing an aura of plot protection over Chloe. In the beggining of 2 episode, you can have "sex" with Rachel, Emily, Linda, but you can not even touch Chloes ass, someone will come and interrupt you. You can not advance eith her without some tutoring bullshit, im guessing you will need the old hag. And this part is like the BB remake, where the mother had to supervise Liza sex education. In this game it happens with 1, and almost with the other, at least.

This is a review of the overall feeling of the game, visually is quite good, the girls part at least, because the MC is a souless robot. Episode 1 has average posing, episode 2 improves but you can still see some rigid limbs and someone sitting in the air.

The MC personality, wel, he doesnt have really, you dont know where his feelings are, or whos side he is, he doesnt have a word of comfort, he even defends "the bad" even when she is supposed to side with "the good"

Episode 2 starts full Cringe with the MC basically pushing everyone like Max, to fuck in the ass. He basically pushes everyone but Chloe, "because".

He is clearly some sex addict psychopath, but when he is drunk he rejects to take advantage o Chloe with the worst inner dialogue ever: "am i that drunk to take advange of her? im gonna regret it"

Seriously the MC personality is over the place whenever the plot needs it to be, It is kind of like this review.

I had a better memory of this game, and playing it again i now know why it happens: because i was playing for the expectations, and what i was gettting the first time playing ,was enough to keep me going on, but now im doing it with the brain free enough to analyze all the bullshit this game has, which is a lot.

To finish this, i will say that i have been playing with the same underwear for 1 day, i would not wear it to a party, but i would definetly wear it to the store, thats how replayable this game is.

It is not enjoyable, there is this constant violence and bad mood, and power play, everyone is angry all the time, they may have sex but for some reason that is not improving their mood, is like living with your widow grandma. This i know from a friend...

Well this review is amess, kind of like the Mc personlaity.

After spending 2 days playing FF7 with no porn at all i came back to resume palying Ep3, i thought i would be more snsitive to this highly sugestive imagery, but i discovered tha my level of horny was equall or less than playing FF7. This game kind of improves renders a bit, and maybe soe approach to sex scenesm but is aging badly cause it is repetitive, and doesnt offer anything extraordinary. If not for the quality of renders, and some parts of some girls, it would be a 1star.

Ah I would have loved to give it 4.5 but 4 are also good, I love this game and it carried me over a week so it was a good time. I would say though I never got punished as I did my chores on time always. I enjoyed this game immensely and did play all 3 endings in but we all know that Emily is the answer and that is the best ending as well. It was nice seeing all the different variances with the different choices. Every episode was different so always it took a little time to get used to it. A very good game.

I feel like many sandbox games are little too much focused on grinding which may used as a tactic to make players feel more rewarded when they complete any milestone (along with a nice scene), However often times they overdo it and it becomes bland and lose interest quickly.
this review is limited to chapter 1 only , I may update it after playing subsequent chapters.
In CmA, I will say the sandbox is perfect where you actually feel rewarded with the premise fitting for no grinding.

Pros:
Renders are NICE realistic looking body and the curves looks like they actually belong to the person.
Story progress beautifully, player can feel for the characters and experience changes happening to them as player continues with the quests.

Cons:
My only issue with this game is no sound. I mean I would LOVE to hear the spanks and maybe juggle those asses little bit

This was one of my favorite games so far.

The game has different play styles and game mechanics. The story isn't monotonous. The renderings are fine. I particularly like the character designs and their complexity, espacially of Emily and Chloe. They have their own special kinks, strenghs and flaws. Overall, the content with these two characters is very authentic and there is a real love story in it. I really fell in love with Emily.

What I disliked was the forced MILF content and that the player has to play a character who basically is a dick. He is into control and manipulation. That doesn't make him likeable. I also hoped for more diversity in the repeatable scenes. And there was a series of bugs where the save games got trapped and I couldn't progress, so I had to use savegames from the community.

I hope there will be a sequel with Emily. I can't get enough of this character and her natural attitude.

Very nice renders all around. The story is pretty fresh for a harem game. It has some good twists and very enjoyable characters. The BDSM aspect is very high so if thats something for you then this game does it some good deed.
I think without the very good walkthrough this game would not be playable though. Too many very cryptic quest descriptions and convoluded paths.
