Well unfortunately or fortunately depending on tastes, the update is mostly going to be centered around the Pixie with the mom getting an intro and most likely only one-two "scenes"

Wait where was mention of it being focused on pixie? Looked more like it was on daisy.
If you mean similar games but japanese then Summer Memories. It's a pixel game but has similar themed characters (probably best out there for it).

Seems like they are seriously cutting down budget on the animations

I remember testing this game long time ago and for me it was famously known for its very good and smooth animations.
But now it seems many scenes are just 2 pictures looping, and although there are still a few scenes with many frames but there are a very few of them, sad.

Yeah he said that doing less animations would make the updates come faster, but imo it was better with all the scenes animated, even if it takes more time to make an update.Seems like they are seriously cutting down budget on the animations

The animations are very important to a game like this, and if you take that away it really just becomes the same as just looking at a porn comic.
It's upsetting too because the updates take the same time, so didn't make much of a difference.
