Thanks for that, im still similing...
I think this game can be very very good, the pacing with D makes it a bit different of almost all the incest games i played, i liked the characers and so on... still, te dev is really slow progesing with the story and that makes u wonder about he will ever finish it, like most of these games... we can only hope... (he still do that "1 day upgrade" every release? anybodye knows how much "days" he have in mind for the hole story?)

Well, this is my first post, so i dont want to forget to say that i found this site pretty amazing, not only for the large amount of games and fast downloads links it has, but for all these chats and information about the games and all the other stuff about programing, cheat engines and so on, so thank you... i speak spanish as main language, so if something doenst add up, sorry, chears
Welcome.

I too came, not even a week ago.
And I share your sentiment.

Slowly tho, now that I know this is the norm so to speak, I have cooled my jets.
Frustration remains the same of course, but only because the content is good and it is dripping slowly monthly.

I keep hearing about the time to render and such. What is considered average time. Once you design the character and the rooms, it is about posing. Most of them use stock clothes. The story should of been mapped out before,. Even without so even if they don't have a storyboard, does not sound like a lot of time. Most dont even bother to change clothes and reuse images with no or minor alterations. My gaming rig renders in minutes, if i just rendered without any of the othet steps. 100 in a few days would be cake. Normally it sounds like rendering is the big time sink, as an old computer is normally the excuse. Hard for me to accept as one months income from dmd would buy a good computer.

Not trying to be an ass. I am curious, as lack of contentt is my biggest complaint. I don't care if all the content is not to my liking, or if game play is not appealing to me. I accept the reality that the creator has a lot of patreons to please. So i want someone to explain to me why i have the wrong attitude and make me a happier man.

Is he not delivering current work as promised? for most of those here who are not backing him will not have access to what is said behind that and you complain he is not providing as promised? if you have an issue and are a backer then let him know there, not here.
You got me wrong. I'm not complaining at all, just replying to someone who said "patronage doesn't mean 'here is my cash, no strings'" and let him know that those who support Mr.Dots games have the right to expect him to deliver the game as promised, and he has been doing that! So there is no reason for complaining.

I understand that rendering a big image with Iray quality takes about one hour using a good computer. But the game development is not just creating the pics and writing the text. One has to program the game to work according to some variables displaying this or that event, this or that pic. Including all possible variations (Dress A +Rejected Elena +Goes to the police, Dress B +Rejected Elena +Goes to the police, Dress A +Didn't reject Elena +Goes to the police, Dress B +Didn't reject Elena +Goes to the police, Dress A +Rejected Elena +Don't go to the police, Dress B +Rejected Elena +Don't go to the police, Dress A +Didn't reject Elena +Don't go to the police, Dress B +Didn't reject Elena +Don't go to the police)
That's why I don't like when I new game developer includes too many characters in his game, it will take ages to create all possible variations.

Actually i posted that and it was in response to the ongoing posts about patreonage. The idea that you are supporting a creator somehow means there is no accountability. Yes you can pull your support. However, you have every right to expect a reasonable level of productivity. Especially when the creator markets to you.
Not paying is a form of protest, so is complaining. If i criticise on a form of gamers, it is valid, as it will effect his wallet. I don't understand people that feel patreonage is just a money grab. That i have to just accept or pull my support. Rediculous, i have multiple reasonable response choices. Discussing my concerns about quality, content, speed etc all legitimately belong here. Thank you all

there is always things to do to make sure the pose and the clothes are put together right. sometimes you will see someone not as percise as others where the clothing looks like it's held on by sheer force of will where there is a gap between the clothing and the character body. even with predesigned characters and clothing, unless they are in the same position then there is a good deal to make sure of. the actual rendering is still also different than having your computer render it onto your screen. For that aspect there is Display Rendering and File Rendering. the later does take much longer because it must save information for the next screen to display properly, and that includes a great many calculations. to render a picture on your screen is very different. and there is much more than just telling the computer to render as you mentioned, and that should all go into account.

@Dolphin3000 I did misunderstand your post and I agree with you, my comments reinforce your comments just as much :) thanks for the clarifications.

Well if you have a 8 core 16 thread CPU, good nVidia card, use Iray and Preta3D Reality, you are in good shape.

Problem is, most of these "devs" don't have that.

OK, so one week later...

I finally have my interface mod working for .11, with some added functionality.

This screenshot probably best explains what took me so long. Python isn't my jam, so there was a lot of trial and error on my end to get to this point r.e. being able to edit the save descriptions on the same page as the save thumbnails.

More info, and the DMD 11 V6 version of my interface mod is here, for any brave souls that might want to take this for a test drive:

Note that any saves that may have 'went missing' for ya in DMD 11 will be visible again with this mod, with one additional save slot per page to boot! This won't solve the 'corrupted save' issue for any saves made at the very end of day 10, but you can rescue those using a DMD 10 install, using pageup to back the dialogue in those saves up a bit to 'avoid' the change that breaks the save, at which point you should be able to use that save with your DMD 11 install.

I've tested this on a clean install, but of course I'd recommend keeping backup .zips of DMD 10 plus the patch (and extras), or of the full DMD 11 package. And making backup copies of the files mentioned in the readme. Comments, reports of issues, etc. of course are welcome in the mod thread linked above!

Y'all are probably done with DMD v.11 for now, but for those that are looking for another go, or that haven't downloaded .11 yet, enjoy!

this is also why some choices have to leave to just a game over screen or it would take an even longer time to flush out the story and the renders that happened as a result of some sort of Game ending choice.

If the object is to save time, scenes should be cut/shortened involving side-characters. The MC and D should not be affected.

The weirdest game-over occured the time the MC visited D and Elena at their hotel. As MC was groping D in her sleep, Elena discovered them and freaked (Elena of all people!). That was game-over!

Really???
Yeah. While I haven't had game end with Elena. (did with Daughter). I think it would be better if you lost some points instead of game over.

Anyone know what program they use make 3DCG?
In this game? Definitely Daz Studio. I recognize the Casino and the Bowling alley, Ironman13 built those!

Sure, it's free for the basic program, but you'll get sucked into the Daz store. No one escapes the Daz store...

Well, OK, maybe a few people do, but there is a lot of REALLY REALLY NICE STUFF in the Daz Store!

I love my Daz!

You need to do more photos like that. Thanks oldje <3
I would love to light-heartedly parody a few pics from the game for fun, but overly busy right now with projects. I have a few fun ideas for D and the father. If I really had the time I would do one of D kicking Lucas off a building into a Sharknado!
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Eventually I would like to learn Daz and Renpy and create my own stuff, only have an old version of photoshop for now that I know well.
