only devs and hyperserver could give answer what's bugging you and others but to get that support need to become supporter.

try this, don't change anything and use ingame mod.

you could delete all saves (from game directory and under appdata\renpy) and re-dl game and re-extract.

1st is from page 18 and 2nd is from page 21.

Always a minor annoyance when games are broken up between multiple parts. I can understand why, for file size reason. But I usually download compressed so it doesn't really apply to me. Just a bit annoying having to download multiple files instead of one
