Though I think that is, at least in part, because MrDots has become more skilled during the course of DMD and thus was a much better creator (and hat a team) when he started to create Melody..

I also think that Melody is cuter.. =P
(Though I really like the renders where the daughter has no makeup, there she looks much better )
