Well, regarding your spoiler “out of character” - that’s why I wrote the “watch D walk down the street and talk to a stranger” piece to move mC’s character slightly.

Realistically D and F would have to keep their true relationship a secret from the wider world. I suspect they would have to do a Dreaming of Dana scenario, so getting them both used to being with another is the smart way to go.
