he could do what other devs are doing, do a patch and post on lewd patcher
he probably didn't want to overcomplicate things (I know patching isn't complicated at all, but there are people that are just too lazy to even learn something as simple as that)

Au contraire - it is the perfect solution. With the “bug” idea, what happens when Patreon finds out the perfidious actions taken to hide from them this remains an incest game? Permanent ban? Business wise, Patreon system still remains the best viable funding platform for this game - and while alternatives exist or can be created, there is no guarantee of success. However, creating a game system that allows the player to determine the relationship? That is gold. Patreon would have to say they do not approve of games that give the player choice.

yes but now the game becomes very ridicolous, "friend" stuff looks really bad in the writings and there is alot of it, and when we put "dad" its always "dad"(even when there should be daddy or big letter) and same with "Dad".....
since there is so much of that in the text all the time its bad for immersion and the writing overall, i think.

hey guys here is my third patch which changes this:

if you save the game often like i do as separate saves then just load up a save before this scene for example the massage contest at the spa and you will be fine otherwise you will have to start at whatever previous scene you have or start again from scratch sorry.
bare in mind i am not associated with this game or developer, I'm doing this just for you guys so please don't blame or complain to me
i will reupload my prepatched v0.16 for you guys now and post it when its done.

Well, first off let me start with, dont shoot the messenger, but Patreon did say that to someone already, a developer asked if that would be a viable option and they said no, players cant be able to make characters related, even step-anything.
So im wondering how and if that works here, well going from how they handle things there is still a big variety of enforcements case by case.

Wow, I'm totally not seeing that. When I put "Dad" in there I get Dad, Daddy, and Father in different contexts. Unpatched version. There is one weird "Friend-D" in there that's probably hard-coded (RazorX patch above takes care of that, it looks like), but the rest seems to be spot on.
I agree it's buggy but the strategy itself is probably the best we can hope for, what with Patreon being douchy.

Really? hmm i only get "dad" or "Dad" but i have the "fixed" version he released just recently that removes alot of the "friend" left over. hmm weird, maybe i will try to start over or something.

Couldn't agree to those who were disappointed by this release. Enjoyed it very much. Good progress in story and even corruption.
Maybe I don't want to get my favorit game get finished (like my 2nd favorit one) and so I embrace the slow progress ... but as long as there's nothing as good as DmD out there I'd be happy if Dmd becomes a modern version of Achilles and the tortoise :closedtongue:

Here you go guys this will most likely be the final one i post unless someone asks me to do something else as i have completed this version myself so i most likely wont go back on it for a little bit, you know christmas and all that

yes of course, so Patreon say that you cannot patch or remove files now to? crazy.. but its starting to become a bit ridicolous, the game was made called dating my daughter..... i mean.... if hes going to skip out of the incest he might as well scrap and redo the game. a game called dating my daughter but no incest is just, well, ridicolous.

And even on an D exclusive route ... D explained she has to make up for E's missing participations in F's country and for helping her out here ... and Daddy won't do anything that will make his lovely princess sad, doesn't he

They can not really act on patches, as long as the Patreon version is "clean" and other websites that may have unwanted content does not directly link to Patreon its "safe". A good example are Bethesda Games, they get modded to hell with a lot more crazy things. And funny things. And crazy funny things.

For anyone having save issues you can make a brand new save on chapter 2. Hit continue from ch.1 and press save doesn't appear. That allows you to do a simple questionnaire of the content from chapter 1 to fix up a save. No screwing around converting a save over or rerunning the game.
As far as I can tell the "proper" nicknames are "daughter" and "dad" without the quotes. Setting it to that the dialogue seemed to run as normal, using something else came off really bizarre and awkward.

yeah my patch helps with some of that but there is sections of the text that just adds dy for example to the code that tells it to use the name from the box, so for example if you do dad in certain areas she calls you daddy which is fine but if you do something like master then in certain areas that would become masterdy
but bare in mind he expects everyone to just use daughter and dad to restore the game to how it was intended so don't be too harsh on him but there was script mistakes i corrected in the one i released above.

thank you my friend for the info, Patreon are really crazy they want to control everything... people can not even LINK, it makes me a bit upset.
so sad to se people have to botch extremely good talanted creative games, and the DETAILS is everything, and you have a game that is called and made with dating my daughter that now in its base mode does not even have incest. but well well im just upset..
