As to the confusion : an efficient proofreader could do wonders for these indie devs.

This is a pet peeve of mine. Many Devs are not native English speakers (I gather MrDots isn't one either, he's just better at it than most) so some irregularity is to be expected, but even a quick spell-check in any word processor would fix at least 80% of these errors. They could do even better with something like Grammarly, which is free to use. I can only blame laziness or stupidity.

I doubt that's the case, he repeats multiple times that after melody 0.02 this friday he'll work on another version of melody before working on dmd 0.18, which is incompatible with a release in april since he would have to start next week to do so
The phrase about a release "in late April/early May" makes no sense unless he plans on working on both games at the same time, maybe hiring someone? It would make sense considering how much he received from buymeacoffee but he would have to distance himself from the development, i'm not sure if he would be willing to do so

Hello, so this is my first post and it sucks that it has to be another "It doesn't work"
However, I've tried downloading the Mac version of chp.1 from every host and it says the .zip file is incomplete.
I've unarchived it anyways but of course the .app doesn't work.

Anyone has any ideas?
The chp.2 version works.

Melody launches Friday as 0.01...

He said he would do 2 weeks instead of 1 for the first release so i'm assuming he's counting it as 0.02 already which is why he's saying that 0.03 will be available in april

.zip only handles 2 gb but Chapter 1 is 3.3gb (Chapter 2 is 1gb+, so works). Try using Win.rar only.

I'm able to archive/unarchive 1080p movies with "The unarchiver" program(not winrar).

Hi guys!

I’d like to start off firstly by giving you my apologies for the lack of posts regarding any updates on the future of DMD.

My team and I have spent pretty much every day of the past month and a half, working on my new visual novel “Melody”.

I’ve only just received clearance from Patreon that our script and walkthrough abides by their recently changed rules and regulations, and we are good to go to release it.

I sincerely hope that you will at least give our new game a try, and will help me promote Melody to those who you feel will be interested in my work.

As I’ve always said, without your ongoing support, none of this would’ve even been possible.

Which brings me to the news I’m sure plenty of you have been looking forward to reading from me…

We will start working on Episode 3 of Melody after this week’s premiere release on Friday. Then once Episode 3 is released, we will START WORK ON v18 OF DMD, which we are hoping to release around the END OF MAY!

Our intention is to release two episodes of Melody (Friday and one next month), then one of DMD (v18) in May. Then we’ll go back to work on Melody in June.

You can also play the win version on mac. Just download renpy in insert the "game" folder of dmd win version.

I just finished Chapter 1 of DMD for my first time; and overall I like the story (cheesy, but good still), the character development from the daughter (especially), scenes, etc.

I've already downloaded Chapter 2 and the game started working (both MEGA links). I pushed the "Continue from Ch.1" tab, but it said "Your saves from CH.1 couldn't be loaded. You'll have to enter your choices from CH.1 manually." Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, but I don't fully understand why my save file didn't work. Do I need to drag my save file from Chapter 1 over to the Chapter 2 folder? If I need to, where can I find my save file? (BTW, I'M ON A MAC).

Thats the archiver that worked for me when I was having problems opening Chapter 1.

I just want to say I've really enjoyed what I've played so far. It's a really pretty game with damn good writing. Suggestion wise, my 2 cents are that I'd like to be able to keep the dad and daughter faithful to each other. Forced scenes would really kill the lovey dovey vibe that I've been able to build between the two.

If you have the equivalent to 14.5 (chapter 1 from page 1), play each path to the end (a "thank you" screen). When you open 0.17 (Chapter 2 from page1) and click "continue from Ch. 1", you should be taken automatically to Chapter 2 on the same path that last reached the thank you screen (it will show Day 0) without needing to input stats. Immediately make a fresh save (such as Day 0 ; D + E). This method should be followed for EVERY path you play (there are workarounds if you follow many paths and this seems tedious).

My DMD Chapter 1 file says its 0.14.5 and my Chapter 2 files says 017. So, I'm guessing thats what you mean. What do you mean by "each path"? Do you mean having one game file for a relationship with only Georgina, another with Elena and one with just my daughter? Because I've already reached the "To be continued..." screen once so far.
Sorry if I'm making this too difficult.
