A random question (sorry for bugging). Do you know what these 'save' files are (or mean)? I went to the save folder expecting save files with my saved game's description name: "First Playthrough (daughter only)" (Finished one) & "Second Playthrough (Georgina Relationship)".

I just finished Chapter 1 of DMD for my first time; and overall I like the story (cheesy, but good still), the character development from the daughter (especially), scenes, etc.

I've already downloaded Chapter 2 and the game started working (both MEGA links). I pushed the "Continue from Ch.1" tab, but it said "Your saves from CH.1 couldn't be loaded. You'll have to enter your choices from CH.1 manually." Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, but I don't fully understand why my save file didn't work. Do I need to drag my save file from Chapter 1 over to the Chapter 2 folder? If I need to, where can I find my save file? (BTW, I'M ON A MAC).

You must use v0.14.5, then work...

Yes. As far as the paths go.
The screen you need to reach is the last screen of Chapter 1. That is the de facto save that will be continued automatically into Chapter 2 (after clicking "continue from Chapter 1"). Regular Chapter 1 saves will not be compatible directly with Chapter 2 (they are still good to hold your place near the end of the Chapter and for replay value).
Make a save for each path once it starts up in Chapter 2. The "to be continued screen" will pop up EVERY time you open Chapter 2. Once you have a detailed save for each of your paths, you can just load one of your saves in future (including saves from later updates which should remain compatible with this setup). But to get to 0.17, for instance, you would click the welcome screen then load one of your (a steady player) late Day 16 saves to reach very near the start of 0.17.

v.0.14.5 is compatible...

I realise that I have that option. I was just voicing my preference for keeping it that way in the future.

Those are the save filenames. The names correspond to the position in the save screen. The first word - "auto" for screen "A", 1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc. The second word is the save number in that screen.

Your save name is a description embedded in the file.

Hey all,
Just found "Dating My Daughter" and have downloaded all the versions and playing away but nearing the end of days scenes my screen turns to a grey checkered screen and there are no images, but then 1 will show up (as I click away ) and then back to the grey checkered screen again.
Is there a hack or something that I don't have that's blocking my images or is it a pay thing to get the extra images?

This is the head writer for MrDots. In the past, he has usually been more pessimistic than MrDots. This comment actually gives me more confidence than that of MrDots, who is more the promoter. Some very interesting options...

sharing points are not working yet, but i guess in future release there will be options for it. Maybe like father daughter and Georgina ,or other similar situations. (sorry if I made to much grammar mistakes, but english is not my first language)

this should speed the corruption process and introduce more exhibtionism, sharing and BDSM

i’m not interested too much in the sharing or BDSM part but 4 ish updates of DMD a year than none at all is more than welcome.

who knows maybe Melody will be a good VN. i can’t wait to try it tomorrow.

They still have the “trip to the countryside to do research for the D/Elena school project.” This is what Rachel agreed could happen the last release. That means MC/D/Elena out in a small town or countryside in the same hotel..... either furtive hidden touching (as in the casino and spa) or something more (e.g., discovery?) - I personally am pressing for something more than “furtive touching” to move the story forward.

this is the part i'm affraid will happen,since DMD is banished from patreon and currently has no stable platform to continue the development,i have a feeling that the game progression will be rushed to reach it's end

As someone noted, quarterly releases following the same slow-burn story progression would take us to 2023. Monthly releases would take us to 2020. So, if the idea is to somehow finish by 2020, but with ~quarterly releases, some story progression speedup is mandatory.
It's more a matter of WHICH story progression is sped up. Remember something like a HUGE speedup has already happened in 0.17 with the bj (a 2nd "new" sexual activity being outside the normal pattern of ONE per update) that was obviously meant for 0.18 if monthly updates had continued.
I'd prefer cutting daddy's harem adrift, but I doubt that will happen. Note that for some as-yet-known reason, the Melody launch tomorrow will be 0.01 AND 0.02. Something like that could be done with DMD with the next update being, effectively, 0.18, 0.19 and 0.20.

completely agree with you here,even though it would suck because wait between the updates would be long,i would not mind to have content amount of three updates in one. If it's possible they should take this approach,this way we would get huge episode where it wouldn't be that obvious if the game progression was sped up

Glad to hear news of a future release even if it’s some way off.
Melody hasn’t won me over based on previews but I’m more inclined to go in with less of a negative outlook given dmd is feeling less forgotten. I still expect the story to be accelerated which dependent on how much isn’t necessarily a bad thing imo. 2 chapters rather than 3 perhaps.
