Hmm ... i suggest updating your GPU drivers and make sure to render with the GPU not CPU.
You can uncheck in the menu inside DAZ to only use GPU: render settings -> advanced
Also make sure to have the latest version of DAZ.
im using daz v4.12

Hi, I need some advice to improve my rendering.
Here is my rendering:
Scene1.png

I have problems dealing with the shadows casted by the desk and also I am wondering if there's techniques to
render better protraits without damaging the enviroment.

I am using the environment asset from
The light settings is using default hdri through the window, and setting emissions on the lightbult provided by the environment asset.

Thank you for helping.

may want to look into ghost lights, this way you could kill or accentuate the shadow in the scene, like by the doorknob you can see there 2 sources of light as the shadow is cast in multiple way, and one light is stronger than the other, usually if you have a hdri and its day light, the interior light should not cast shadow at all, but depend on the scene setup, here a intro tutorial in ghost light, you can start from there and navigate trough this.
