I think it would look much better if the only light source was the tv
But there it's just an image that emits no light (it's not too hard to make it emit light)
Remove the light on the character, change the tone mapping settings to accentuate the blue to make it look like the TV is lighting the room + a small saturation at 1.15 and a gamma at 2.50 and that's enough for the TV to light the room ^^

Yes, I know, use yellow to make blue.

Yes, I know how to use yellow to make blue.
There's also the straightforward way of changing the TV image surface to add illumination to it, that's actually what I did in the render i'm doing right now

If you adjust it, both methods works and gives pretty much the same result. The second probably make it easier if you want multiple colors in your render though I think.

While we're at it, here's the render I was doing, still not as HQ as the few firsts, since it another one I did to try out a few things.

Maybe I should make a render with her with less skin, with how much I posted her here, it's a shame she always have so much clothes

Clearly not enough then, since you can't even see the light on the furniture it's on.
I just meant it in a way that, he could use only one light source and it being the TV, and it would go well with how it was probably though of at first.
Test, that's enough for a scene in front of the TV right now, isn't it?
( i remove all light and emissive light, erf)

Looks pretty good. I'm re-rendering my scene now using some of the settings from both of your suggestions. I'll upload once it's finished. Thanks for the great ideas!

um, np. Another suggestion. Add a hdri orestes or another with night sky. It will add some brightness to the room if the TV is not enough.

Scene rendered again using the TV's light emission along with the tone mapping settings, then denoised and tweaked a bit in PS. The lamp emission is now working correctly, at least. Thoughts?

I think it's a lot better
I think now the lamp itself is a bit too dark, you should brighten the cover thing (i don't remember what it's called), and I imagined the TV light going stronger near the TV and weaker further from it, but it's much better already, and like I said, it how I imagined :p
