hey guys I just started 3D renders and I will be doing it only as a hobby when I have free time i.e. I am not going to make a game or something.

so would blender be better for me or Daz?
DAZ is more casual. Blender is more for enthusiasts b/c you have to do literally everything on your own, but it will give you more freedom and can also improve your DAZ library and renders.

Some stuff from a while back. (Also a question: anyone familiar with European webhosting policies on computer images of non-real, virtual people such as DAZ models? Especially if the characters could be considered borderline underage by some viewers? Are there any countries more likely to allow this without problems?)

Oddly enough, after some research it seems that Unites States webhosting might be more permissive for virtual pornography. As long as not TOO realistic or completely obscene.

Here is some more from that image series from last post.

Does anybody know where i went wrong with the hair? im sure its supposed to be lower down(the loose parts). View attachment 997838
I can only think of two things.
One is that there's nothing wrong in your end, and it's just how Iray did the math with the hair's alpha mapping. You can try moving the light to a different angle to minimize this...
Two, is that you used dynamic hair (a.k.a. dForce hair)
In that case, the default dForce settings for the hair isn't optimal, loose strands have less gravity effect per strand, and are perhaps more "stiff" to retain some hair volume... and you can expect this result, until you finetune every little crank and nook with the hair's dynamic behaviour, per surface. Gravity, air resistance, stiffness, etcetera.

As long as your site/blog is flagged as "adult content" you will be fine... with the exception of the borderline underage stuff. That, I'm afraid is a HUGE no-no, in virtually every western world hosting provider, and a near-sure ticket for the Interpol, FBI, and your local authorities to keep you under tabs, for a LONG time.
