How do you get that ring bokeh? I know how it's done for real but this is the first time I see it in a render.

well first i settled up the my Dof Field.

then i settled Lens Dial Bias? to 0.01

Blade Apperatures 10

and Blade Rotation 18

I didn't know it could be simulated in Daz.
On a real camera it's a by-effect of using a mirrorlense. (Usually very long like 500mm or more)

I tried mixed light in a dark environment. There's a bit too much noise on her face but for the rest I'm quite pleased with the result.

IRL focal lenght has no effect. It's the mirror system that creates the bokeh. Check for Catadioptric lenses if optics interest you.

You know, I kinda like the Mom and one of the other female characters in the original Big Brother, but those graphics are starting to look a bit "dated". I'd like to see the characters redone using G8 models and skins and maybe trying different lighting effects as well. Just my .02.

guys, what software are you using to add text to the renders?

I'd do it in Photoshop since that is the software I have but there are other (probably better or easier) options.

You can use every image editing software you are comfortable with - even MS Paint.......

You can use every image editing software you are comfortable with - even MS Paint.......

And if you are not comfortable with any image editing software like my grandma, you can always do what she'd do and print the image, type the text in with a pen and scan it.

Aaanyway.. here is quick render, note that mom's not that much taller, it's just the pose
