Don't be discouraged. From my experience most people who ask for feedback or help are grateful for insights offered. but it can be easy to overlook a helpful comment sometimes if you are not careful. (Had only one negative experience so far but that was a whole other can of worms).
Yea I do that myself :( I should show it more I think.... Feedback is always appreciated good or bad it always helps in some way.....

Beryl atop a well. That's scary! Get down from there!

Here's Beryl showing off her... nails. ^^'

Beryl Wordeater is quite literate and is, in fact, a writer which is a thing unheard of for goblins. Goblins are good singers but aren't known to be scriveners let alone novelists. After all, we all know that reading or writing steals words (aka thoughts) from one's head. To counter this, she also indulges in eating books every once in a while. She reasons that it helps to replace the words lost due to writing things down. This, of course, is true and obviously makes sense since she doesn't feel any different after snacking down a book (even if it is sometimes a copy of one of her own books) or simply a scroll or two whenever she gets into a writing frenzy. (Goblins can have strange appetites versus other "normal" races, and are completely unfazed and content at devouring meals that might turn other peoples' stomachs. And eating words is no challenge at all for this gal.)

Weirdly, Beryl Wordeater's novellas aren't wild or contain fantastical magic, and never seem to feature themes of amber fires, tasty bugs, or fear-inducing monsters such as horses. Her novelettes are quite popular with well-bred youngsters blossoming from adolescence and among upper society's women circles (though the latter won't openly admit it). Beryl's works are known for their easy slice-of-life escapism and unusual dalliances, and romance generally between humans and demihumans, or even with more atypical races or creatures. Most would be surprised and even fewer knows that the author that penned them is a goblin.

Beryl Wordeater enjoys spending time in idyllic places where her thoughts can be translated into words. Those words, in turn, would flow from her like water from a mountain spring as she happily writes them down, and is a fortunate consequence when one's profession is that of a writer. She likes filing down her nails into points as it more closely imitates those of the larger women she admires in polite society while retaining the strength behind them. (People often underestimate the belying strength of goblin claws.) Although possessing a felicitous and demure personality, she secretly delights in the sensations and sounds from tearing through parchment or meat with her talons during mealtimes. She is tone-deaf, and can't sing worth a damn even when humming! The other goblins puts the blame for that on not knowing enough words to sing correctly due to her inexplicable endeavors of emptying her head of words by placing them into books. Audible words are better -- you can hear them! Beryl Wordeater is pretty, but also a pretty weird goblin most would say.
