@MovieMike what GPU do you use, and how much time did the render take to go to 25%?
nice render btw :)
I have a GTX 1070, with an i6700k and 32 gigs of ram. The render itself was done as scene only with the back wall missing and ray length path brought down to 6. It took about 8-10 minutes at 4k resolution to get to 25%, which is usually enough since I'm downsampling back to 1080p. Then I hid everything and rendered just the dome which took 40 seconds and combined them in photoshop.

Those are some pretty nice looking eyes. Are you willing to share the names of the models/textures/morphs used?
Believe those are eyes from the natsuko model though changes have been done to the textures overall. @lexx228 also mentioned wet hair. Still learning :p I couldnt get it looking right on the white hair.

Question here: Is it too dark for a night scene?
asleep_night.jpg

the only light that would come through (in "reality") is the city-light from a window on the right.
i have added a light in the room, too. - so there are 2 light sources.
4k render to about 50% (if i remember correctly) and downsampling to 1080p.

I believe, that it is very much in the eye of the beholder. Some want's to see all, and some like it dark, were focus is automatically drawn towards the important parts of the image. The parts that you, as a storyteller, want's to show off.
So, there are varied responses to that questions.
In my opinion, it is too bright, from the waist up. But like I said, thi sis just my opinion.

I'll throw in one of my own: Only light is "distant light".

Like I said, i like more contrast in certain images, when it comes down to light and dark.

That depends on what you want us to see here. Best artists I know have done scenes that are much darker than this. However again, that all depends on your tastes. It kinda looks, to me, like she must live in a cyberpunk future with a really bright billboard outside.
