Another lighting playtest. I wanted to see how well I could work with lower exposures and reflective surfaces, so I made this homage to a classic movie I recently re-watched. Positioning the building to bounce off the shades was an absolute nightmare, but it worked out well enough in the end.



I purposefully made the render sampling quite low to make the image more noisy, to give it that film grain look.

#4 is my favourite, though I liked #3 as well for the contrast in colours. Nice job.

Only way that I found to actually light the cavern was to duplicate the water layer and turn it into a ghost light.otherwise everything in shadow would be pitch black. Got the added bonus of a teal and orange effect.
