This is my first post on this thread! I started playing around with rendering last September and I'm really enjoying it so far.



(This is part of an upcoming scene in The Beautiful Game, my first game.)

Another random denoise versus no denoise test... one of these two images was rendered with 400 iterations and denoising. The other was a full render, no denoising using default settings. I used a 1.00 pixel filter radius on both. The full render took me over 22 mins. The other denoised one took just over 7mins. Both were 1920x3162, resized to fit this... I would rather use denoising rather than wait an extra 15 mins. Grant it, if you're doing some 4K image and you have the video card and patience, go for it, but... I do 1080P images and there just isn't enough of a difference to justify 15 mins. I was going to go for 800 iterations for the denoised version but I wanted a more extreme example, plus I mostly use 400 and rarely use 800 iterations.
