Guys, how to effectively remove noise and to smoothen the scene despite at 100% and 500+ iterations? Is it possible to resume rendering after reaching 100%?

You can run far higher iterations by doing the following:
- Setting 'Rendering Quality Enable' to off / or raising 'Rendering Convergence Ratio' to almost 100%.
- Increasing max samples / max time.

To be honest though, I would not recommend doing the above. The technique I use is down-sampling, which is to render at higher resolution and then convert to a smaller image size. The reduction of image size eliminates most of the impact of fireflies. Also when rendering, as I use roughly double the desired final resolution (x4) pixels, once I hit about 50% convergence the end result is fairly good. Most of the renders in my current VN I am working on are done to about 80 iterations (3840x1920) and then down-sampled to 1920x1080.

I have looked for a decent firefly removal tool, however haven't been able to find a decent one to date. Most of them are just a blur transform that smudge away a good chunk of the image detail. I am not currently aware of a method of resuming a render after it has completed.

Another PG and my OC trying to save her species. This one is in my favorite cross eye 3d. I placed the two cameras farther apart (40cm) then what the normal eyes are (10ish). This is because at the normal perspective, the 3d effect was too muted for me. This way, their bodies pop more... Once again, I am working on perspective, poses, and emotions in their faces. I actually liked her toes curling... And I am not a feet guy.

again bar and struggle with lighting...

You have done well with a challenging environment prop. I have tried to use the Z 24 Hour Bar previously and the large number of high intensity emissive surfaces (firefly factory) completely kills my ability to get it to converge. I could completely rework the lighting for the scene, however I don't think it is worth the time. Hence I have elected to just grab some of the individual props and use them in other scenes.

Ha, same boat. I actually spent a ton of time making groups, deleting lights, etc, but gave up because I felt I was changing it too much and it just wasn't worth it. There's also some 8k textures in there if I'm not mistaken. Great set, but man, you'd need like a RTX Titan to use effectively.

We actually took that same environment and reworked a lot of the lighting and surfaces to make it a strip club for an upcoming release. I love to compare and contrast how people use the same resources differently. Great Render! Salute.

This was the test render we did with our makeover.

Thanks!
It will be interesting to see your version completely(y)
ps:I also first tried to remove the mirrors and the extra light and eventually got a bar from i13:ROFLMAO:
also I tried to use billboards, but they for some reason take away more resources than real characters and look "strange"
sorry my engrish

Thanks but I have another sincere question: How to down sample? Cooking for two hours, 90% at 10k max sample, 4 hours max time, 98 convergence, 600+ iterations but still grainy. It's horrible to look at honestly. I've read changing max time to 0 results to infinite rendering until manually stopped or crashes.

I can start over but what do I after it finishes rendering? When down-sampling, do i have to alter the settings, resume rendering before saving? Thanks.

Thanks!

Lex, youre one of the best at this, can you provide tips for amateurs like me? I do want to make a quality render for the DF mom. Thanks.

Down-sampling is just reducing the size of the final image. This can be done in any image editor.

A large portion of the problem you are having is that the light source isn't bright enough. There just isn't enough light flying around the scene to render the surfaces. If you turn the light way up (maybe x10) then the image should be clearer. Then if you wish the darker final result, lower the brightness (also suggest increasing the contrast) via an image editor.

Also, a good way to start out and practice is to do outdoor scenes and just light via an HDRI. Renders quicker, decent results, and simpler to use. Then when you start seeing what you like and don't like you can start integrating actual lights and working with those. I know when I first started it was nice being able to see something decent via HDRI until I could figure out how lights function.
