The lighting on the second image is better, however to be honest not a fan of either light setup. I think there is too much ambient light. You may be better served by having a single strong light from the left of the screen. Think a single emissive sphere would be your best option (maybe 1m diameter, 5m from character).
with gimp or other picture adeting software you can try to make things in layers and fit them on each otherFourth shot.

Yeah, sorry guys for the very poor texture quality of the couch. But with 2 Gb of VRam i had to sacrifice something in order to be able to render with GPU.

IMO, the grip on the sword is too loose. Tighten that up. A glass sword? The background is weird for what you might be trying to portray, or maybe I'm wrong. A warrior of peace with a pastel background and glass swords? Also, the light reflection in his eyes.why do I feel that something is missing
