Yeah I would suggest maybe mess with the translucency in the surfaces tab I sometimes will change it to a yellow hinted hue or a pink hinted hue to bring more of a flesh color to it other than that and lighting tricks is best advice I can give.
Try Pumping Pole Palette, this is what I use for a realistic-looking Dicktator; it's the closest to a lifelike penis you can get, imo.
