I have the save problem too. My game doesn't save the current gameplay. If I save and I go to the next chapter - it resets all the save files. Can someone help.

Guys, I honestly advise you not to get too interested in the game and just ask for the GCs. Contrary to what it seems, it's one of the worst games I've ever played in this genre. it's too slow to load, it forces you to unskipable sequences, saves can only be done when you're in exploration mode (that is, almost never) and the investigation is literally useless except for a crazy mania for unlocking achievements ( good luck wasting a month... in uploads, the game is objectively small in plot). and it's also boring in the info he wants to put.

I'd gladly post the GCs but... as I said before, there's a real madness in the event handling in the game that forces you to literally repeat the whole game over and over again along with its unskippable sequences. So I'm sorry: I don't have the patience and time to keep up with a bad game.

I tried for several months to contact the developer to inform him that this is not how a game is developed but he didn't listen to me. And indeed, he has introduced "non-minigames" which in addition to being stupid are buggy, and waste time for the ending. He completely lacks the empathy of a player and is now thinking about starting a new project. Maybe he has some interesting drawing skills, but as a programmer he sucks completely. and that's a compliment, considering that he didn't want to listen to any constructive feedback on how to finish his game technically in a decent way (ops, it's bettere create another new game, right?). And no, "being alone" doesn't entitle him to be completely deaf to the lousy gaming experience that delete both sexual tension and investigative interest.

Honestly, forget it. or at least forget about playing it because it's technically frustrating. it deserves not to have visibility and the developer to better learn some interactive design lessons like the author of Baradise Escape is trying every month.Mikkoukun has also learned and continues to learn to improve the user experience, and this game just doesn't.

Is it not common knowledge by now, that this game is a scammy cash grab with no integrity, only aiming to cash in gay porno money? The initial good looking CGs are just baits, nothing more.
Why even bother to provide suggestion to the devs, they don't care about "how good is the game", only care about "how much money the game can milk out".

Honestly, I disagree with the above. The game reached its natural ending and, although it can use a few tweaks here an there (e.g. animations, writing/bug tweaks) but every product has cons and pros. There are huge pros here: the story is intriguing, the whodunnit setting is well played, the "rescue missions" were hot, and the art is simply phenomenal.
Give the game a try, it is good to support talented developers.

I'd buy it if it wasn't asking too much for very little replay value. There's plenty of indie games on steam offering so much more for half its price.

Not to mention those legit indie game developers don't put so much resources into anti-piracy - they put those resources into making their games better.
The truth is, the developers of "Dead Dating" is not "talented game dev" by any means, they are money hungry and the sole aim is to cash in "gay porn game" money.
And no surprise the quality of the game suffers greatly :KEK:

And yet the development is not a complete dumpster fire like Summer Time Saga for example. I really don't get the hate for the game, there are so many worse projects out there.

I think it's the disappointment of how the demo was really, really good and the actual game was mediocre.

It's certainly not bad, but I think that demo set expectations really high and when the actual game didn't meet them, people got upset.

Plus, the anti piracy stuff rubs people the wrong way on this site.
The dev is certainly entitled to protect his game from piracy and I don't begrudge him for it. But a lot of people think it's absolutely outrageous.
Funny how users feel entitled to get a game for free.

Maybe you didn't follow their development of the game, just saw the end product - an mediocre game doesn't hurt anybody.
People dislike them for not being a game developer with integrity:
1. There are way worse projects out there doesn't make a bad project any better;
2. They used deceiving and misleading demo - which doesn't really present their game - for crowdfunding;
3. They also used other very shaddy anti-consumer practices along their fund-raising campaign;
4. They are not genuine about their development, there are multiple lies they told along the line;
5. Developing customer DRM is not wrong by any means - their game they decide how they want to monetise. But it put you into perspectives where their focus lies - they don't care about game quality nor the customers, only the money.
  • If you like the other guy that hs no clue about the nature of DRM - yes it hampers game performances and costumer experiences. It's not even about piracy.
6. According to multiple people from their discord, they also don't respect their community who is not a "Yes-Man".

FYI, "Uncle Neighbour" is a mediocre game that also used customer DRM, but you don't see people hating that game.
Coolpeng is a developer that makes mediocre games and sell at stupidly high prices, but you also don't see people hating that game.
I wonder why :KEK:
