It's gotta be hard being a dev when you work on something and instead of detractors simply not playing the FREE game they downloaded and moving on, they have to try to kill the game simply because they can't nut to what's happening in an update.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. He did all of it: story, audio and renders. I only did the improved writing/translation/proofread and some coding tweaks for menus like I always do since I started helping him around update 0.3. The only true thing I added by myself is the developer messages at the start and end of 0.9, stating the situation with the information I have with my older private chats with him.
It was a hard decision on my part, but I wouldn't say it's too early. The paid subscribers are not exactly happy when the release date was delayed a bunch of times already, and then the final date was set, and yet 3 months have passed with no messages or closure. If he ends up returning, well, it will be very embarrassing for me but I assume full responsibility
Missed all the drama, wasn't even aware of it. Seems like some people were up in arms about lesbian paths and the sibling rivalry , if i got it right. I understand not being happy if not fan of those ... but from i remember playing the game many month ago, the vibes and push toward it were always there. I'm even curious about the state of the game, with flat out denial of lesbian scenes , before it was "forced".... i'm feeling , nah betting it might have way less content.
Anyway i'm glad to continue the journey, and will try out this newer version

Not against the lesbian path, just because in this update the les scene was forced, as it is an incomplete update.
What of the update is here is good imo, just that is incomplete, Ruykiru released what he had of the update as hot tomato is missing for some time.

its shameful but i admit, once i used to blame devs for their frequent delays in making their projects but since then i have started learning coding and all the things that come with it myself, it has shown me how ignorant and narrowminded i was. i have newfound respect for all the devs now. but even without that, i was always a big fan of DMS so tomato was one of my alltime favourite game devs that is including all the normal games we normally find in steam,ubi,ea etc. i was in depression seeing the delays this time hoping that it doesnt get abandoned as well. so, i was so happy to see the new update, but then i played the game and the messages left by Rykiru shattered my happiness into bits. specially that last message, man i actually started crying and here i am supposed to beating my meat instead.
HotTomato, i hope you are well and are just taking a break. plz come back, fuck the haters who doesnt face obstacles in life. if needed we would show our support thrice as much as the hates you got before. plz come back, if not for our sake, atleast do it for the friend whos parting msg at the end can easily be misunderstood as a love letter.

Man seeing all the lesbian hate makes me wish there had been a lesbian only path in this game. MC sits around with his dick in his hand while the mom and sister get it on... NTR haters would be pissed that the MC's dick isn't the center of the universe and the NTR lovers pissed that there are no gargantuan BBCs or wrinkled, flabby old creeps getting any. Finally a game that pisses off both the anti-NTR and the pro-NTR crowd.
I hope to see Hot tomato come back to finish even if it will just be a short version of his original concept, I really enjoyed the story. He was one of the reasons I started writing my own Visual novel as well, hope he's doing well and can come back to see his story through.
Also Ruykiruthanks for giving us this update even if not everyone is happy with it. Good luck with your story too.
As you may know, the main developer, my good friend HotTomato, kinda ghosted everyone and went missing (don't know why) for months and it feels bad to hang on to what we had worked on so far for 0.9. I didn't add anything truly new though, all the renders/story are still by him. I've been with him in this project for a long time as a helper, mainly for writing, and I'm working full time on my own visual novel now. Still, I did take some time off, made some tweaks, and cooked up something for you all though...

I'd say that people who self insert too strongly into a fake story are the ones who are mentally ill. If someone can't understand that they are not the MC and aren't the ones fucking their own mother and sister or getting lesbian cucked by said mother and sister... well let's just say a psychiatric counseling might be recommended.
