Played awhile last night. Really enjoyed this game.

Weird, but I think a SFW mode would also be really worthwhile, especially as content expands.

You could possibly have branching skill tree, for example Repair branches to Electronics/Mechanics/software skills and sex branches to escort/bdsm/dancer skills. So, after gaining a certain level in the skill, you gain the ability to specialize a bit more. I think this could also become very useful as content is added, especially if people want to do things like BotFights. The combat skills could work like Rock Paper Scissors, with a little RNG

Recurring customers could be interesting. Especially those that come in and request specific parts.

Maybe an ability to filter what you're looking for at the junkyard, which gives a very slight increase to the chance of finding something like a power core. Doesn't have to be for a specific model, just "I want to look for power cores today." This could be tied to your knowledge of the parts you're looking for, making it even more important to repair good parts so you understand where to find them in the junk heap.

This is an excellent premise for this genre. And I want to be able to play a version when the kids are awake.
Haha, yep, already had weird thoughts like "hmm... maybe i should put it on steam some day".
Game code is quite modular, so it wouldn't be a huge deal to split SFW/NSFW parts, while keeping most of mechanics and content. So, yeah, something to think about. Thanks for confirming some of my thoughts.

Skill trees is something i thought about. I guess once i get to personality and other systems, i will revisit current skills systems too. Proper skill trees are somewhat too large for my taste, maybe will go with some sort of skill specializations at every level instead. Not sure right now, but yes, some sort of depth to skills is likely.

Yep, both repeatable content and some sort of "i live here and know people around" feeling would nice too.

Direct filter would feels bit cheaty. Maybe with more bots roles, or with skill specs. Or maybe as part of location content. Find local junkies or gang, make a deal and passively get parts you want periodically.

I think it would be neat if there were different tiers/categories of sexbots that use different styles of in-game models.

Budget sexbots (rendered) that have visible robot joints, and are cheaper and easier to work on, and have limited customization options for appearance.

Advanced sexbots (rendered) that don't have the exposed robot parts but are still customizable in appearance, and also more expensive.

Realistic sexbots that use real porn models (like are in the game right now) but aren't customizable in appearance and are also expensive and challenging to work on.

The 'advanced' and 'realistic' bots are probably considered to be the same tier, just catering to different tastes.

______________

RE: the SFW mode, maybe just removed/reduced images, so it would be less weird to be caught playing it on mobile at work/in public (and maybe adjust some text so "SEX" is replaced with something less obvious.

First, I want to say it took me a second to recall where I knew your name. (missed the avatar until tonight). Ordos here.

Glad I could echo some of your thoughts. There's a lot of potential here!

Anyway:

I felt this way when I first thought about it. The only reason I suggest it, is the shop is so random and requires so much AP. It feels like there should be a method to find a part, even if that part is in severe disrepair and the chances of finding it are slim. This could be an option unlocked by high enough part knowledge and repair skill. It could also be based on difficulty.

Here's my thoughts behind it:
If it's tied to repair and knowledge of parts, then it likely wouldn't be too OP until your skills are B+.(Like maybe a 10% bonus at max?) But I bet the tradeoff would be you're likely to just find lower level parts that you spent a lot of time early game grinding. How I equate this is, if you're shopping a junkyard and you repair a lot of Ford pickups, you'll know where to find parts for one, but if you're looking for a BMW aux fuse box, you might not even know what you're looking for, so won't be able to find it. Your search has a higher chance of coming up empty or you grab one thats irreparable.

Having regular junkies work as scouts for you, could work well. Again, very minor increase in the likelihood they bring you what you're looking for. It would be really cool of they learned a bit dynamically, based on your responses to what they bring in. If they constantly bring in plastic arms at $225 and you say no, they either lower price or stop bringing arms altogether!
-But, that's for way later if/when you look at repeat customers and whether you want them to have rudimentary learning. -

It took me 2 weeks to find a power core for a bot with a work order, though. My bays were full and I couldn't afford a 4th bay yet. It just put almost everything to a grinding halt. I finally had a junkie bring me one!

Junkie AI sounds good, can add accepted/declined memory and skew RNG. Good idea, thanks.

As for RNG hating you, well, gacha gacha :D I personally find it fun to have good/bad streaks. But i will add more traders/shop/ways to get things with better predictability. Maybe missions to send your techie bots to scavenge. Maybe NetConsole market with bad prices, but long list of offers.
It's just other systems/content have higher priority right now.

Oh, and in case anyone miss tech demo girls, here is made by some random internet degenerate.
For best results save when there is no bot scene images shown, unzip mod to /game/mods/ folder, launch game and check "game mods" screen to be sure it is loaded.

I just started an easy game in the new version for testing. How's this RNG?
I got even better. First bot I got was a JKB-12, with a working CPUv7. And she had one skill already, Sex at S rank (13%).

Which begs a question... Who in their right mind would throw away a bot so skilled, just for a minor powercore failure??? Was her previous owner frigid, or was she so skilled she killed him by heart attack?

And Therod, the character creation tag should be for the start of the game, where you decide which skills to give to your main character.

Jesus Christ that update was fast. Kudos my man. I haven't been following forum discussions, but I loved the first version of the game, and I can only imagine how much work it took to add so much in... what, ten days? MVP right there.

Needs more hugging and cuddling and head pats and other SFW things.

This shows good promise as a game.
